摘要： The invention relates to a rechargeable battery having a battery housing, which has a rear wall having a depression, which extends up to an end wall of the battery housing and has a base side and mutually opposite narrow sides, the base side merging with the outer side of the rear wall via a step, and a contact arrangement being positioned on the step which is covered by a cover emerging from the step. In order to develop the battery such that the contact arrangement is protected against spraywater if the battery is connected to an electrical device, the invention proposes that the cover forms a contact housing which completely surrounds the contact arrangement in the circumferential direction and has, on its side remote from the step, an insertion opening which is surrounded by a circumferential edge of the contact housing, which edge forms a sealing face.
