    • Disclosed is a method for reducing an amount of compressed still image data and improving image quality upon compression of a video, using metadata of a camera. The disclosed method comprises the steps of: acquiring an image; analyzing metadata of a camera corresponding to the acquired image to divide each block of the acquired image into one among an out-focused block, a general block, and a focused block; and compressing the acquired image, but adjusting a quantization variable value according to the inputted divided blocks and compressing the acquired image. Therefore, an amount of data can be reduced or image quality can be improved by using metadata of a camera upon compression of an image. In particular, image quality can be improved by removing a screen blocking effect caused by skipping a screen in an out-focused area upon compression of a video.

    • PURPOSE: Digital contents sharing device, system and method are provided to solve user inconvenience caused by the closure of DRM(Digital Rights Management), to share the digital contents applied to the DRM between various devices, and to prevent the illegal distribution of the digital contents. CONSTITUTION: A decoding unit(120) decodes encoded digital contents. A fingerprint unit(130) inserts the fingerprint to the decoded digital contents on a basis of the information for tracking an outflow path and stores the digital contents in which fingerprint is inserted. A transmit unit(140) transmits the digital contents in which fingerprint is inserted to the second device. The fingerprint unit converts the decoded digital contents with corresponding to the second device and inserts the fingerprint into the converted digital contents.

    • A method for managing group key for multicast communications is provided to reduce a use cost of network by minimizing the number of message transmitted to network for key renewals. A method for managing group key for multicast communications comprises the following steps: a step for producing a tree which is comprised to a root, an in-between, and a leaf node for a group key management of a receiver group in a management server(S100); a step for producing a user key about each node except for a root node using a chinese remainder theorem(S110); a step for assigning each user belonging to the receiver group to the leaf node(S120); a step for delivering the user key for the group key management of the corresponding leaf node to each user(S130); a step for producing the group key about each node except for the leaf node(S140); a step for calculating the chinese remainder theorem value using the user key and the group key in each node except for the leaf node(S150); and a step for transmitting a group key update message to a multicast(S160).
