    • PURPOSE: A method for selectively inputting a fingerprint in realtime is provided for a user to input a high-quality fingerprint by checking the inputted fingerprint quality and generating audio or character message for guiding the user. CONSTITUTION: A fingerprint image is obtained(S102) from a fingerprint input device such as a scanner. By the obtained fingerprint image, the user can be registered or authorized. The obtained fingerprint image is divided into many sections as a predetermined block unit, and a brightness state of the image is determined(S104). A center point of the fingerprint is detected(S108), and a truth or a false of the center point is verified(S110). It is determined that the center point is positioned(S114) on a center part of the image. A straight line as much as a right/left constant length is marked on the basis of the center point of the fingerprint center point. From a correspondence point between fingerprint lines and a base line, average direction angle of each lines of the fingerprint is calculated(S118), and a slope of the fingerprint is determined. It is determined that a slope of the calculated fingerprint is included(S120) in a predetermined slope error range. Thereby, a high-quality fingerprint is obtained by checking an input fingerprint quality and generating audio or character message.
