Correlators(601-604) perform the respective correlation the received signal about the channel of N. A channel detector(606) detects the channel outputting the peak among the correlation result after the frame synchronization. An FFT(Fast Fourier Transform)(607) performs FFT the channel separator separating only the subcarrier corresponding to the channel outputting peak about the received signal. A decoder(609) decodes data of the separated corresponding subcarrier as described above.

    • Provided are an apparatus and a method for providing a concurrent data service to an Mobile Station (MS) through a plurality of heterogeneous networks. In a method for providing a data service to an MS through different wireless networks, the MS measures channel qualities of at least one accessible wireless network (913) and reports the measured channel qualities to an Internet Protocol (IP) packet controller (914). The IP packet controller selects wireless networks for data transmission on the basis of the reported channel qualities (918), distributes data destined for the MS (919), and transmits the distributed data to the selected wireless networks (920). The selected wireless networks receive the data from the IP packet controller and transmit the received data to the MS (922). The MS combines and interprets the data received from the selected wireless networks (923,924). Accordingly, it is possible to provide a seamless data service to the MS in service environments with a mixture of different wireless communication systems.

    • A method and an apparatus for transmitting or receiving data in a wireless relay system are provided to offer a multi-hop link through a relay station as well as a good direct link between a base station and a terminal, thereby improving the quality of communication and increasing the throughput of data. A base station superposition-codes a first message, X1, of N symbols including information bits for MS1 and a second message, X2, of N symbols including information bits for MS2, and then transmits the superposition-coded data(402). A relay station obtains the two messages by decoding the superposition-coded data, and then transmits D2 information bits extracted from the second message on M transmission symbols(404). The data transmitted from the relay station are transmitted to both the MS1 and the MS2. The MS1 receives the superposition-coded data from the base station and the data from the relay station. The MS1 obtains the first message by deleting a part related to the second message from the superposition-coded data, referring to the D2 information bits obtained by decoding the data received from the relay station, and then decodes the first message to achieve the D1 information bits(406).

The communication unit transmits the message to a base station and transmits the packet stored in the buffer to the terminal to which the resources are allocated.
