The control unit (3) Is predisposed to identify an impact of a vehicle against the road safety device (2) on the basis of data received from the vibration and/or deforming sensor (6).

The device (10) comprises a frame (11) and a deformable longitudinal body (12) which comprises a first end (12a) fixed to the frame (11) and a second end (12b). The coupling means (4) and the stabilising means (5) are reciprocally arranged and conformed so that, in a case of an impact of a vehicle against the head (2), the head (2) can slide along the guide rail (3) without oscillating about the guide rail (3) so as to guide the deformation of the deformable body (12) along the relative deforming direction (X).
