    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical fluidized-bed furnace which allows thermal reaction in a wide area within a fluidized bed, for preventing a char from entering a noncombustible material.SOLUTION: The cylindrical fluidized-bed furnace includes a cylindrical furnace body 10, a bed board 30 provided with vapor supply openings 31 and 32 for supplying fluidizing gas, a noncombustible material discharge opening 11 arranged biased from the axis of the cylindrical furnace body 10, and a waste supply opening 41 which is provided on a furnace wall positioned on the side opposite to the noncombustible material discharge opening 11 across the axis of the cylindrical furnace body 10. The amount of supplied fluidizing gas, jetted through the vapor supply opening provided to the bed board 30 between the furnace wall on the side where the waste supply opening 41 is provided and the noncombustible material discharge opening 11, is caused to vary between the waste supply opening side and the noncombustible material discharge opening side, so that the fluidizing speed on the noncombustible material discharge opening side is faster than that on the waste supply opening side. Consequently, a movement layer 21 in which fluid medium sinks is formed on the waste supply opening side, and a fluidized layer 22 in which the fluid medium rises is formed on the noncombustible material discharge opening side.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry circulation type coagulation and sedimentation treatment device capable of maintaining the slurry interface level of a sedimentation part at an appropriate position even when raw water turbidity is low or when sedimentation property of a flock varies depending on the raw water turbidity and efficiently obtaining treated water from the raw water of the low turbidity, and its operation method.
      SOLUTION: The slurry circulation type coagulation and sedimentation treatment device has a slurry circulation type coagulation and sedimentation treatment tank including an agitation part 3, a water path part 4, a sedimentation part 5 and a flow path for returning slurry from the lower part of the sedimentation part 5 to the agitation part 3. The device is provided with a solid particle adding pump 12 for supplying solid particles for increasing the specific gravity of the slurry to raw water 17, an SV meter 15 for detecting the SV value of the slurry, a slurry interface meter 16 for detecting the position of the slurry interface 23 of a slurry blanket 22 formed in the sedimentation part 5, and a sludge pump 11. The SV value and the slurry interface position and the time change of each of the SV value and the slurry interface position are calculated, and the supply amount of the solid particles and/or a slurry discharge amount is instructed according to the calculated result.
