    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow changes in optical technology characteristics, especially spectral composition of light flux and light, during an operation, in a lighting device, especially a lighting device used for projection.SOLUTION: A lighting device (1) has a pump light source (2). The spectral composition of effective light of the lighting device can be controlled by control of phase relation between a rotating phosphor wheel (5) and a filter wheel (12) which rotates synchronously therewith. The time overlap between conversion light from a phosphor element of the phosphor wheel (5) and a filter element of the filter wheel (12), that is, the extent of spectral filtering of the conversion light by the filter element is controlled by the control of the phase relation.
