    • A fluoropolymer coating composition which enables a thick coating and can provide a coating having excellent abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-tackiness; and articles made by applying this composition on the surfaces thereof. The composition comprises fine particles of a fluoropolymer, a polyether resin in an amount of 0.1 to 300 % by weight based on the weight of the fine particles, and a liquid carrier, and the polyether resin is a resin represented by general formula (I): R -Y -(A-B)-R [wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; Y represents an ether, ester, urethane, or thionyl group; A represents an alkylene oxide residue having three or more carbon atoms, provided that the molecular weight of the alkylene oxide moiety is 1 x 10 to 1 x 10 ; and B represents a urethane, thionyl, or a phosphate group, provided that a group within the parentheses is a residue produced by an alternating copolymerization], and the temperature at which the resin is decomposed and vaporized is up to the decomposition temperature of the fluoropolymer.
