    • Minaturized unipolar low power rotational speed transducers or tachometer generators are disclosed, one of which is comprised of coaxial housing (12) and pole members (20) of magnetic material and a permanent magnet (42) interposed therebetween and which housing and pole member provide an annular air gap (22) receiving the annular side wall (52) of a rotatable cup-shaped rotor (46) of electrically conductive material. The rotor (46) is supported by a drivable shaft (64) at the end of the housing (26) corresponding to the closed end (50) of the rotor, and a pair of brushes (82) radially engage the rotor side wall (52) adjacent the closed and open ends of the rotor (46) to provide an output signal in response to driving rotation of the rotor. The same principle may be applied for an axial air-gap machine.

      SOLUTION: The power-generating electric motor 20 has a field armature collector assembly 10 supporting and connecting electrically a field armature assembly 3. The field armature assembly 3 has a field magnet 1 comprising magnetic field generators 4a, 4b of DC magnetic field, and a magnetic circuit part 5 constituting a closed magnetic path in series magnetically, with the generators, and an armature body 2 with an electrical circuit part 6. The field armature collector assembly 10 has a collector sliding part 9 sandwiching the electrical circuit part 6, and an electric sliding part 7 fixed in the electrical circuit part 6, and connected to the collector sliding part 9 electrically, while being brought into contact with the collector sliding part 9 so as to enable relative displacement. The electrical circuit part 6 and the magnetic circuit part 5 intersect with each other at an electromagnetic induction crossing part and an electromagnetic non-induction crossing part. In the electromagnetic induction crossing part and the electromagnetic non-induction crossing part, the magnetic field orientations of the magnetic circuit part 5 are faced in the opposite directions mutually and are aligned to the direction of electromotive force upon power generation or to the direction of current upon motor operation.
