    • PURPOSE:To increase insulating strength by providing ceramic elements respectively inside the inner tube and the outer tube of a double tube which forms a vacuum jacket and arranging the ceramic elements not to come in contact with gaseous refrigerant. CONSTITUTION:A double tube 1 is consisted of an outer tube 11 and an inner tube 12, and in the middle of the outer tube 11 and the inner tube 12, bellows 13 and 14 are provided respectively. And on the outside of said bellows 13, a spacer 15 is arranged extensibly so that this bellows 13 may not come in contact with gaseous refrigarant directly. On the other hand, inside a part of said outer tube 11 and said inner tube 12 near said bellows 13 and 14, ceramic elements 16 and 17 are provided respectively, and the inner surface of this ceramic element 16 is in contact with liquid refrigerant and the outer surface of said ceramic element 16 is in contact with vacuum of the vacuum jacket 2. Therefore, the outer tube 11 and the inner tube 12 of said double tube 1 are provided with the ceramic elements 16 and 17 respectively, and so discharge damage does not occur when high voltage is applied.

    • A method and apparatus for detecting and preventing electrically induced fires in a gas tubing systems constructed of Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST) and Gas Appliance Connectors (GAC). The system of the present invention may include one or more energy detection schemes to detect electrical energy surges on the gas line. When such a surge is detected, the control circuitry of the present invention causes an electric two-way main gas valve to de-energize into a position wherein the flow of gas from a gas feeder pipe to the gas tubing system is blocked and residual gas pressure in the gas tubing system is automatically vented to the atmosphere.
