摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance washing effect by providing a beam extended into a washing drum on the upper part of an outer drum, and rotating a washing rod supported to rotate at the extended end of the beam in order to beat laundry placed on the upper part of the washing drum. SOLUTION: When a washing machine starts to operate, a pulsator, installed on the lower part of a washing drum 120, starts to rotate. And a wire 520 is pulled by a motor 320, and an engaging member 540 engages with a side wall 480 to move a moving cylinder 380 upward. Then, a washing rod 600 rotates and moves upward, by the wire 520, against the elastic force of a torsion spring 560 to be maintained in the horizontal position. Next, the electricity supplied to the motor 320 is stopped, the moving cylinder 380 moves downward through a coil spring 440. When the tensile force of the wire 520 is maintained in released condition, the washing rod 600 rotates and moves downward through the elastic force of the torsion spring 560 to beat and wash laundry placed in the upper part of the washing drum 120.
