    • PURPOSE: To shorten the whole length of a spring type press pin by forming a guide sleeve allowing a pin to freely slide therein in a compression spring while resisting the elastic force thereof, and a recessed part formed in the radial direction between the guide sleeve and a stud and extended in the axial direction to receive the compression spring. CONSTITUTION: A pin 1 passes through a guide sleeve 2 movable in the axial direction, and the guide sleeve 2 is formed of a lower screw 3 formed adjacent to the spanner surface, and the spanner surface 4 is engaged with a tool in order to screw the press pin to the receiver hole. The guide sleeve 2 includes a sleeve 5 adjacent to the peripheral part of the pin over the whole length thereof at the upper end thereof, and a stud 12 is formed of a sleeve part 17 for providing a contact surface and a fitting surface to the pin 1. The sleeve part 14 is formed outside of the stud 12, and formed with a recessed part 7 extended in the axial direction between the sleeve parts 14, 15, and a compression spring 9 for giving the elastic force of the press pin is arranged in the recessed part 7. With this structure, since the spring required to spring the pin up is arranged in the overlapped area, the whole length can be shortened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure effective sealing properties at the tip part of a barrel for an entire long period of use. SOLUTION: This writing utensil is of such a retractable type that a conical tip part 10 which is easily attachable and detachable is mounted on the forward end of a barrel 2. In addition, a sealing device 11 is stored, in a freely removable manner, in the conical tip part 10. The sealing member 11 is equipped with a sealing member retainer 14 and an annular sealing member 8 stored in the cavity 12 of the sealing member retainer 14. The paired end part walls 13 of the retainer 14 restrict the rolling of the sealing member 8 in the retainer 14. When the writing utensil is assembled, the retainer 14 is held between the conical tip part 10 and the forward end part of a barrel 2 body. When a tip 3 is retracted, the sealing member 8 is engaged with the tip 3 and consequently, the communication between the tip 3 and the opening 6 of the barrel 2 is shut off. Further, the sealing device 11 can be easily removed and replaced, e.g. whenever the replenishing unit 1 is replaced, by separating the removable conical tip part 10.

    • PURPOSE:To seal a writing liquid in a writing device hermetically and reduce a load acting upon the tip of a writing shaft when the shaft is fed out by installing a cylinder and a blocking element so that they attract each other magnetically and energizing the blocking element to a position where the cylinder attracts the cylinder, utilizing the elastic restoration force of a connecting member. CONSTITUTION:If a refill 14 is squeezed out from a tip direction by knocking operation, a blocking element 22 is pushed by the tip of the refill 14 and becomes upright, thus allowing the refill 14 to become ready for use. As the connecting part 242 of a connecting member 24 becomes deformed significantly, a load rests on a writing element 143 due to an elastic restoration force when the refill 14 is projected. However, the load is minimum and therefore the writing element 143 is protected against damage. After use, the refill 14 is returned to a storage position again by knocking operation. The blocking element 22 is returned to a position where it gets close to the tip surface of a cylinder 18 by the elastic restoration force of the connecting member 24, and is magnetically attracted by the cylinder 18. Then the blocking element 22 is closely fixed to the tip surface and its interior is sealed hermetically. The vapor supplied to an airtight chamber in the cylinder 18 from an ink occlusion element 145 is prevented from becoming dry.
