摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of an incomplete cigarette accumulation and also prevent the stoppage of the whole system of a packaging machine even in the case of the discontinuance of the streams of cigarette out of one outlet of a hopper. SOLUTION: A packaging machine 4 is provided with a hopper 12 for feeding cigarettes, and the hopper 12 is provided with accumulations 16, 17 and 18, at least two, formed of a plurality of outlets 15, and respective accumulations 16, 17 and 18 formed of the outlets 15 are provided with outlets 15 of the number in the range of one to the number equal to the number of layers of respective cigarette accumulations, and the outlets 15 of respective accumulations 16, 17 and 18 formed of outlets 15 are related to the formation of respective cigarette groups. A method of forming the cigarette accumulations responds to one control signal to intercept simultaneously respective streams of cigarettes transferred from all the outlets 15 in the accumulations 16, 17 and 18 formed of the outlets 15.

摘要： PURPOSE: To realize a process and an apparatus for rejecting a defective package without disturbance of the manufacturing line by applying a marking on the defective package, by identifying the marked package after completion of the package and then rejecting it. CONSTITUTION: Cigarette packages 10 are transferred in a continuous package line 14 comprising two stacked columns 15, 16 of the packages 10 contacted each other and aligned, and a plurality of them are pushed toward the side by a driving member 19 and are took out as a bundle 11. When the bundle is took out, the bundle 11 is wrapped and formed to a carton 13 with an outer wrapping paper 12 made of a blank paper in conjunction of folding means. Defective packages are marked by folding over a part of the outer wrappings 12. After that the carton 13 is rejected via a discharge track 26. The defective package detects the mark by a sensor 42 to be rejected by an action of a pushing member 37.
