    • Equipment for mechanical machining, especially the turning and drilling of mechanical workpieces, such as light alloy wheels and the like, includes at least one turning unit with a double chuck to support the workpieces being machined and a turning head designed to work in association with one or other of the chucks alternately. At least one first workpiece loading/unloading device can be used for moving the workpieces being machined on one or other of the chucks so as to bring about loading/unloading of the workpieces from one of the chucks at the same time as mechanical machining is being carried out on the other chuck. The equipment further includes at least one drilling unit operatively associated with the turning unit and including at least one first drilling head combined with at least one corresponding first workpiece-holding device and at least one second device for loading/unloading parts to move parts being machined in the drilling unit. The first and second loading/unloading devices are further incorporated into the equipment to move the parts being machined away from and towards one or the other of the turning and drilling units so that mechanical machining in the drilling and turning unit takes place at the same time as the operations of loading and unloading workpieces onto and from the equipment.

    • A drill bit assembly is formed to drill into an object while reliably conducting a fluid onto a point being drilled and subsequently into the object being drilled includes a sleeve that is bored and threaded and cut flush to substantially mate with the outside surface of a conducting tube. An elbow connector is mounted within the sleeve and receives a fluid from a tube coupled thereto. The drill bit assembly further includes a telescoping conduction tube for conducting fluid about the drill bit as it rotates and into an opening created by the drill bit. The telescoping conduction tube axially slides about the conduction tube and also conducts fluid about the drill bit while slidingly mating with the conduction tube to minimally leak the fluid. The drill bit assembly further includes a telescoping outer tube that defines a 45 degree cut at a drilling point end of the drill bit, wherein the 45 degree cut flushes cutting debris away from the drill bit thereby substantially reducing clogging of the fluid conduction tube. The drill bit assembly may be used in connection with any object being drilled for which temperature or sparking is to be reduced or eliminated.

    • A method and a device for detecting the incorrect chucking of a machine tool capable of easily and surely detecting a chucking error; the method, comprising the steps of measuring, by a sensor (12), the change of a distance (d) between the sensor (12) and the outer peripheral surface of the flange part (2B) of a tool holder (2) installed in a spindle (3) through all around the periphery of the tool holder while rotating the tool holder (2), performing a FFT analysis of the measured data by a CPU (18), extracting a fundamental frequency component, and calculating the amplitude thereof, whereby the eccentric amount of the tool holder (2) can be calculated by using the amplitude of the fundamental frequency component and, when the eccentric amount exceeds a preset allowable value, the tool holder (2) is judged to cause an incorrect chucking.
