摘要： A rotary cutter head is provided with helical carbide cutting blade inserts. The blade inserts extend along a helical path and are configured for cutting rotation in a predetermined direction. The blade inserts are secured to the cutter head body in a helical slot formed between a wall of the cutter head body and a plurality of clamping wedges. The blade insert may have a tapered body that facilitates locking and securing the blade insert to the cutter head body in a radial direction in response to centrifugal forces created as the rotary cutter head rotates.

摘要： A tool holder is held in a support body by a clamp which is wedged between the support body and the tool holder. The clamp is secured in the support body by a threaded fastener that extends through a through-hole formed in the clamp. The fastener carries a flange which pulls the clamp out of wedging relationship when the fastener is unscrewed. A spring disposed in the through-hole functions to keep the clamp pressed against the tool holder even after the clamp has been loosened, in order to keep the tool holder from falling out of the support body. A stopper is disposed behind the tool holder to locate the tool holder in a desired cutting position and to keep the tool holder pressed against an abutment surface of the support body.

摘要： A tool assembly includes a support body, a clamping device, and a tool holder clamped in a groove of the support body. A stopper block is disposed in the groove and abuts against the tool holder for positioning the tool holder along an axis. The stopper block is held in place by a wedge-type stopper clamp which applies a clamping force to the stopper block in a direction transversely of the axis. A wedge-type holder clamp is provided for applying a clamping force to the tool holder in a direction transversely of the axis. The stopper clamp is secured to the support body by a single fastening bolt, and the holder clamp is attached to the support body by a single fastening bolt. Each of the fastening bolts is provided with a part that forcefully pushes the respective clamp away from the support body in response to loosening of the fastening bolt. The arrangement is such that the tool holder can be inserted and removed without completely removing the holder clamp or its fastening bolt.
