摘要： An integrated circuit operational amplifier (op amp) is protected from input voltage levels which may cause output phase reversal of the op amp. Voltage comparators monitor the input voltages to the op amp differential input transistor pair. The op amp and comparators may be fabricated on an integrated circuit substrate and packaged in an integrated circuit package When the input voltage is of such a value which may cause output phase reversal, a comparator senses same and is coupled to circuits within the op amp which prevent the op amp output voltage from going into phase reversal.

摘要： A gm-C circuit includes a two-stage common mode control loop to limit the common mode voltage during circuit operation. To prevent latch-up in a cross-coupled differential gm-C type filter, the common mode control loop includes a circuit which provides extra current capability to the common-mode control loop without increasing the quiescent current. This is accomplished by a current boost technique that provides large amounts of current when needed, while running in a low current mode under normal circumstances.

摘要： A rail-to-rail input stage with constant g.sub.m and constant common-mode output currents is provided. The common-mode output currents are controlled by the use of current switches. When low and high common-mode input voltages are applied to the input stage, the current switches take part of the tail currents of the input stage transistors, divides it into two equal parts, and directs the two equal current signals to the outputs. When intermediate common-mode input voltages are applied, the current switches regulate the tail currents of the input pairs such that the common-mode output current and g.sub.m remains constant. The current switches are responsive to changes in the common-mode input voltages, and thereby maintain the g.sub.m constant.

摘要： An amplifier capable of being tuned to provide linear gain over a selected input signal range is disclosed herein. The amplifier includes an input stage for receiving an input signal. The amplifier further includes a tuning circuit, connected between the input stage and an amplifier output stage, for controlling gain of the amplifier by adjusting a tuning current supplied to the amplifier output stage. The tuning circuit may be realized with a differential transistor pair connected to a pair of transistors within the output stage. In a preferred implementation the input and output stages are arranged in a folded-cascode configuration so as to improve the output impedance and input common-mode signal range of the amplifier.

The value of the output current is inversely proportional to temperature-dependent parameters of the transconductance.

摘要： An electronic comparator circuit having a high speed during switch phase and combining the advantages of bipolar technology with those of CMOS technology. The circuit consists of a differential stage input circuit having a differential pair of bipolar transistors forming its outputs. The output stage contains a pair of MOS transistors having gate electrodes in common. The pair of MOS transistors is connected on one side to the outputs of the input portion and on the other side to a positive supply pole via a current mirror circuit. The output contains another pair of MOS transistors with gate electrodes in common connected between the outputs of the input portion and ground. The drain electrode of the first pair of MOS transistors forms the output for the comparator.

摘要： A highly linear variable-gain low noise amplifier is a cascode amplifier. The cascode amplifier includes a gain control circuit, a load circuit, a current steering circuit and an input circuit. The gain control circuit is used for receiving a gain adjusting voltage, thereby generating a resistance adjusting signal and a current steering control signal. The load circuit includes plural variable resistors. The resistances of the variable resistors are adjusted according to the resistance adjusting signal. The current steering circuit is connected to the load circuit through plural current paths for adjusting a current ratio between the plural current paths according to the current steering control signal. The current steering circuit has differential signal output terminals. The input circuit is connected to the current steering circuit. The input circuit has differential signal input terminals.
