摘要： A semiconductor device includes a first transistor, a second transistor, and a third transistor. The first transistor includes a first gate insulator, a first source region and a first drain region, a pair of lightly doped drain (LDD) regions that are each shallower than the first source region and the first drain region, and a first gate electrode. The second transistor includes a second gate insulator, a second source region and a second drain region, a pair of drift regions that encompass the second source region and the second drain region respectively, and a second gate electrode, and the third transistor comprises a third gate insulator, a third source region and a third drain region, and a pair of drift regions that encompass the third source and the third drain regions respectively, and a third gate electrode. The second gate insulator is thinner than the other gate insulators.

摘要： To provide a semiconductor device including a small-area circuit with high withstand voltage, an oxide semiconductor (OS) transistor is used as some of transistors included in a circuit handling an analog signal in a circuit to which high voltage is applied. The use of an OS transistor with high withstand voltage as a transistor requiring resistance to high voltage enables the circuit area to be reduced without lowering the performance, as compared to the case using a Si transistor. Furthermore, an OS transistor can be provided over a Si transistor, so that transistors using different semiconductor layers can be stacked, resulting in a much smaller circuit area.

摘要： A semiconductor device with reduced power consumption and a display device including the semiconductor are provided. The semiconductor device generates a bias voltage that is to be supplied to a buffer amplifier. When the display device displays a still image, a data signal for updating the image need not be supplied from the buffer amplifier to a pixel array in the next frame; therefore, the circuit is configured so that the buffer amplifier is brought into a standby state (temporarily stopped). Specifically, input of a reference current from a BGR circuit to the semiconductor is stopped and a bias voltage is applied from the semiconductor device to the buffer amplifier to temporarily stop the operation of the buffer amplifier.

摘要： A panel driver integrated circuit (IC) and a cooling method of the panel driver IC are provided. The panel driver IC includes a data encoder, a level shifter, a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC), a rearrangement circuit and an output buffer. The data encoder receives and selectively changes an original data for outputting to the level shifter. An input terminal and an output terminal of the level shifter are coupled to an output terminal of the data encoder and a data input terminal of the DAC, respectively. The output terminals of the rearrangement circuit are respectively coupled to the reference voltage input terminals of the DAC for providing different reference voltages. The rearrangement circuit correspondingly rearranges the order of the reference voltages according to the operation of the data encoder. An input terminal of the output buffer is coupled to an output terminal of the DAC.

Two more thin film transistors is added to the original driving circuit of display so that the driving circuit now includes four thin film transistors such that the gate terminal of the thin film transistor's voltage level increases as the threshold voltage of the driving thin film transistor increases. The driving current of the thin film transistor is able to maintain a constant value so that the initial luminance of the display remains unchanged. Therefore, the present invention can effectively increase the average working life of the display.
