    • A camera includes a movable aperture stop plate (62), which changes over a light path (PL) of object light between plural stop states. A depressible shutter release button (27) is provided. A shutter mechanism (75) is released in response to depression of the shutter release button after a charging operation and changing over the movable aperture stop plate, to provide an exposure to the photo film (17). A photometric circuit (37) including a CdS element measures object brightness adapted for changing over the movable aperture stop plate. A photometric switch (44) includes first and second switch segments (44a, 44b), is turned on when pressed, to supply the photometric circuit with power. A blocking pin (90e) blocks and turns off the first and second switch segments upon completion of the charging operation of the shutter mechanism, and comes away from the photometric switch when the shutter release button is depressed. A shifting projection (90d) presses and turns on the photometric switch after the blocking pin comes away from the photometric switch.

    • A shutter device for a camera includes a shutter blade for providing an exposure by opening/shutting a photographic light path, and a shutter drive lever (50, 81, 107, 122, 171) for driving the shutter blade. The shutter device includes a shutter release button. A photometric switch (57, 80a, 80c, 126, 186) is turned on in response to depression of the shutter release button. A photometric circuit (56) is operated by turning on of the photometric switch, for measuring object brightness. An aperture stop changeover mechanism (45, 93, 120, 152) changes over an aperture stop of the photographic light path according to the photographic light path. A delay structure (60, 90, 104, 130, 131, 180, 191) such as a delay lever (60, 131) detects completion of actuation of the aperture stop changeover mechanism and responsively moves the shutter drive lever.

    • The invention relates in general to the field of digital cameras, especially small digital cameras. In particularly the invention relates for adjusting an aperture for mobile cameras. The adjustable aperture construction of the invention comprises two electrodes, and an electrical circuit for applying a voltage to the electrodes in order to create an electric field between the electrodes. In addition the construction comprises between the electrodes a center unit with a hole in the middle of it, the center unit being made of an electroactive material, such as dielectric material or electrostrictive polymer. The aperture can be adjusted by deforming the shape of the center unit. The shape of the center unit is advantageously deformed by the electric field created between said electrodes by said electrical circuit.
