    • A wellbore pipe protection device (1) comprises a covering sleeve (2) and an actuating element (3). The actuating element comprises a handgrip (9) which, relative to the covering sleeve, is manually slidable in axial direction (5) and, in the locked condition, manually rotatable about the axial direction into a rotation position in which axial slidability of the actuating element is blocked in a direction towards the unlocked condition.
