    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for restricting the flow of current induced by an event such as lighting or an electrical fault along a fluid transport system and allowing electrostatic dissipation along the fluid transport system.SOLUTION: A method and apparatus for conducting an electrical current between a first transport member 302 and a second transport member 304. In one illustrative embodiment, a coupling assembly 301 includes a first fitting 318 associated with a first end of a first transport member, a second fitting 320 associated with a second end of a second transport member, and a seal 322. The seal is configured for placement around the first fitting and the second fitting when the first end of the first transport member is positioned relative to the second end of the second transport member. Furthermore, the seal is configured to seal a contact surface of the first transport member with the second transport member. The seal is comprised of a material configured such that the seal has a level of conductivity within a selected range and such that a conductive pathway is formed between the first transport member and the second transport member.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost hose connection structure to connect a tube made of resin and mating part directly with each other with an elastic seal member nipped therebetween, be excellent in sealing ability, and simple in structure.
      SOLUTION: An engaging member provided on an outer peripheral surface with a first engaging part is fitted in the straight end part 1a of a tube 1 made of resin, and an annular press-in member 2 has an end part 1a pressed in a diameter expansion state in the inner peripheral surface thereof. A mating member with a second engaging part is inserted in the end part 1a of the tube 1 made of resin, the second engaging part is engaged with the first engaging part, and the mating member and the tube 1 made of resin are connected directly with each other with an annular elastic seal member 3 nipped therebetween.
