    • A method for plasticating and conveying macromolecular materials based on elongational flow and equipment thereof are disclosed. A set of spaces having specific shape is used, and the volume of the spaces can increase and decrease periodically, and the materials flow into the spaces when the volume is increasing; and are pressed, plasticated and discharged when the volume is decreasing, so that the plasticating and conveying process is mainly under normal stress. A vane-type plasticating and conveying unit mainly comprises a cylindrical hollow stator; a columned rotor eccentrically installed in the inner cavity of the stator, wherein a group of rectangular slots are formed along the circumference of the rotor; a plurality of vanes which are arranged evenly in the slots and baffles mounted on the two sides of the stator. The inner surface of the stator, the outer surface of the rotor, the two vanes, and the two baffles surround to form the spaces having specific shape. The vane-type plasticating and conveying unit and various screw-type extruding unit or various plunger-injection unit can be combined to form a vane-type plasticating and injection device of an extruder or injection machine. The present invention is of short material thermo-mechanical history, low energy consumption, wide adaptability, and small volume.

    • A system for metering and dispensing single and plural component liquids and solids as described herein. The dispensing system has a microprocessor-based control system and volumetrically efficient non-reciprocating pumps which provide a very accurate control of component ratios, shot sizes, flow rates and dispense durations. The dispensing system maintains constant pressure between the output of the pump and the dispense head. The progressive cavity pump is formed from individual, interlocking pressure sections, each of which has a double helix bore. A rotor is inserted into the double helix bore with an interference fit. The dispense head has no dynamic fluid sealing surfaces and instead uses bellows as a sealing mechanism. The dispensing system includes a simple, easy to use calibration procedure and a weight scale. The system also has numerous feedback components for accurately controlling the pressure, flow rates, fluid levels and amounts of fluids dispensed.

    • A pumping system includes a pump for pumping a liquid, a motor for driving the pump, and components for coupling the pump to the motor so that the speed at which the pump is driven varies automatically according to the load the liquid imposes. One embodiment employs an automotive fluid transmission with a torque converter for this purpose, along with input and output manifolds that enable connection to differently sized lines. These components may be mounted on a portable support structure, such as a cart, to form a fully automatic, portable pumping system arranged so that a user can manually move the system to a desired location, connect to variously sized lines, and pump any of various liquids having different or varying viscosities.
