    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film which can satisfy both releasability and embeddability.SOLUTION: The release film 1 comprises a base layer 2 including a polyolefin resin and a polystyrene resin having a syndiotactic structure and a first release layer 3 configured on the upper surface of the base layer 2 and constituted by a resin material including a polystyrene resin having a syndiotactic structure as a main component. This release film 1 yields tensile storage moduli E' of 1.0×10-5.0×10Pa at 120°C and 1.0×10-1.0×10Pa at 170°C as measured in compliance with the test method stipulated by JIS K 7244 under the following conditions: specimen length: 40 mm; width: 4 mm; specimen length between clamps: 20 mm; measurement initiation temperature: 25°C; measurement completion temperature: 250°C; temperature elevation rate: 5°C/min; and measurement frequency: 1 Hz.
