摘要： A combination gripping and cutting tool for cutting pipe and gripping can lids includes a pair of handles that are rigid. Each handle comprises a grasp that is arcuate. The handles are pivotally coupled, such that the grasps are opposing. A support, which is arcuate, extends transversely from a respective grasp. A channel is positioned in the support. A blade that extends transversely from a respective grasp is complementary to and positioned through the channel. Each of a pair of cutouts is positioned in a respective grasp. The cutouts are arcuate and opposing. Each of a pair of grips is coupled to a respective cutout. The grips are configured to engage a lid of a can when the grasps are pivoted inwardly. The handles are positionable with the support separated from the blade, such that a pipe is positionable between the blade and the support for cutting.

A cap opening tool set according to the present invention includes a ring and a cap opener. The ring includes a guide section for facing a circumferential surface section of a screw cap. The cap opener includes a head to be placed over the screw cap and arms extending from the head. The head includes a contact section, a top-surface facing section, and a needle. The contact section enters a space formed between the screw cap and the guide section and presses the circumferential surface section of the screw cap. The needle penetrates the top surface section of the screw cap.

摘要： A device for puncturing the lid of a vacuum sealed container to release the vacuum. A handle has a top surface against which pressure may be exerted by the palm or thumb of the user. A sharp point extends from the bottom surface of the handle, the point being formed to penetrate the lid when pressure is exerted against the top surface of the handle, the length of the shank being such as to extend less than 3/8 inch from the bottom end of the handle, preferably less than 1/8 inch, most preferably less than 1/16 inch. In preferred embodiments, the handle has an integral lower portion of substantially cylindrical shape axially central of the handle, formed to accommodate a user's index and middle fingers when the user's thumb contacts the top surface of the handle. An axial shank has a proximal end secured in the lower handle portion, the distal end of the shank defining the sharp point extending from the lowermost surface of the handle. A layer of compressible material can be disposed on the bottom of the handle, the shank point extending through the compressible material.
