摘要： Bathing and swimming aid device particularly appropriate to small children. The device comprises a carrier ring (19) intended to be placed around the chest and two brachial cushions (17, 18) connected to the carrier ring (19). The size of the latter is such that it exerts an upward thrust sufficient for swimming. The brachial cushions (17, 18) are not or little immersed when in swimming position. They are essentially used for lateral compensation in case of swinging or pendular motion. The brachial cushions (17, 18) are arranged on top and at a distance from the upper portion of the arms (34, 35). They are attached to the upper portion of the arms (34, 35) and to the carrier ring (19) by means of holding straps (26, 27). The carrier ring (19) has a slot at its rear part so as to be adapted to different chest sizes; it is held by an annular tensioning strap. Said tensioning strap (30) and the holding straps (26, 27) form a harness wherein the brachial cushions (17, 18), the carrier ring (19) and the child (33) are held. Owing to the connection of the carrier ring (19) to the brachial cushions (17, 18), neither the carrier ring (19) nor the brachial cushions (17, 18) may be detached from the child carrying them. In the water, the child who carries the device takes automatically a vertical position which is felt as a normal position, so that the child is less frightened thereby encouraging the children to bathe and play in the water.

摘要： A personal flotation unit for supporting a person in a generally sitting position in the water, with the person's head and part of the person's torso above the water has a rear panel and a front panel each made from a flexible flotation material. A fabric seat is connected between bottom edges of the panels. Left edges of the panels are connected by strapping of some kind, as are the right edges of the panels. The seat and the strapping cooperate to form the panels into a diaper or pair of shorts that provides flotation allowing the user to sit in an upright position in water. Preferably the front panel has a T shape with arms that during use are bent backwards by the strapping to provide lateral flotation support for the wearer.
