A lighting system that includes an illumination ring configured to be coupled to a wheel is also disclosed. The illumination ring is configured to simultaneously project light forward and to the side of a front wheel and to project light rearward of and to the side of a rear wheel. The illumination ring may be mounted to or integrated with the bicycle wheel. Methods of controlling light sources on the illumination ring are also disclosed.

摘要： A signal gear (100) for cyclist gives brake and turn signals to other road users while the cyclist has full control of the handle bar (107) and brake. The signal gear (100) is preferably a glove with finger portions. Control and activation of the turn and/or brake signals is mainly by using electrical conductive nature of the signal glove as a switch of the signaling component which is either incorporated with the glove or with the vehicle (e.g. bicycle). The signaling component can emit turn/brake light signal or transmit an activation signal to a light emitting device to give turn/brake light signal. The turn and brake light signals are in yellow and red color, respectively. Said gear is non-bulky, easy to install, efficient, accurate and user friendly for cyclists.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety and comfort by obtaining a stable static condition using an assistant drive function at the time of stopping on an inclined face.
SOLUTION: An inclination angle of a road on which a bicycle travels is calculated by using detection signals from an XY two-axis acceleration sensor 314. Steady torque for offsetting a downward direction generated to a bicycle stopping on the inclined face using a inclination angle detecting function is applied to an assist motor 51 so as to control the bicycle in a manner to easily stop. That is, when the road on which the bicycle stops is an inclined face such as a slope, tare weights of the bicycle and a driver act in the downward direction of the inclined face. Because the bicycle is naturally moved, such a need is caused that a user supports the bicycle by straddling legs, and brakes the bicycle. Torque is steadily applied in a direction for offsetting a downward direction by the tare weights of the bicycle and the driver on the inclined face so as to reduce a supporting force of the user, and improve the comfort of the user.

摘要： A smart lighting system for a vehicle is described. The smart lighting system includes at least one signal generator, and a lighting stem assembly. The lighting stem assembly further includes a signal receiver; a light control PCB module, and at least one light source. The at least one light source may be a rotatable lighting source, and the left indicator light and the right indictor light. Upon receiving signal by the signal receiver from a signal generator, the light control PCB module controls the operation of the rotatable lighting source, and the left indicator light and the right indictor light. The signal generator may generate the signal based on detection of gesture by a motion sensor mounted on a helmet of a rider.
