摘要： Waste collection apparatus 10 comprises a first fluid duct 12 having an inlet at 14. A fan 16 creates a first fluid flow path 18 to draw waste material into the inlet 14, for collection. A second duct 20 directs air back along the periphery of the flow path 18 to deflect waste material up into the main path 18. Rotating air jets 32 are located near the inlet 14 to sweep an area to either side of the vehicle, to deflect waste material in to the path 18. The apparatus includes a compactor, which can be used alone.

In addition, the scraper fingers (1) are disposed rotatably around an angle, so that the surface facing the advanced product in the screw space (12) can be varied. The twisting is adjustable from the outside of the jacket of the apparatus. The fingers (1) have at least one center bore (6), from which there issue side bores (8) in optional directions. In addition to a flat or recess (4'), the fingers (1, 4) can also have twisting (4') within themselves.

To achieve this, the pins are threadly located in throughbores provided in the barrel so that their radially outer ends project externally of the barrel. On the externally projecting end of each pin, a chain wheel or sprocket is provided which is driven by a chain drive. Actuation of the drive thus alters the depth of penetration of the pins in the barrel.

The process and apparatus includes inserting a plurality of obstacles in the flow path of the material stream in the interior of the extruder cylinder. The obstacles are in the form of a number of series of studs protruding into the cylinder and accommodated by respective gaps or openings in the threads of the screw. The depth of penetration as well as the number of studs can be varied and adjusted by automatic means. The penetrating portion of the studs can be of different shapes according to the requirements for a thorough and turbulent deflection and mixing of the material stream.

Preferably not more than 7 percent of fat should be present. The inventive apparatus for extruding this material has grooves in the extrusion casing extending in longitudinal direction, and the extrusion screw ends at the outlet side in a nose cone. Preferably one pitch length is present between a screw seal and the feed inlet, and also one pitch length is present between the feed inlet and a compression section of the screw.

摘要： A single screw extruder for processing plastic material in particulate form which becomes soft and tacky during mechanical working, includes an extruder barrel and a feed section housing through which extends a bore in which is rotatable an extruder screw in said barrel and a main feed screw and an auxiliary feed screw in the feed section, with the main feed screw connected coaxially to said extruder screw. The feed section has a feed inlet at the end of said main feed screw opposite the extruder screw. The auxiliary feed screw has a helical groove whose helix is the reverse of the helix of the main feed screw and is held rotatably in mesh with the main feed screw by a retainer piece that extends through a slot in the feed section housing and has an arcuate groove in running contact with the auxiliary feed screw. The auxiliary feed screw is driven only by the power driven main feed screw and in the opposite direction, whereby to positively convey said plastic material from the feed inlet to said extruder screw, with a minimum of possibility of the material adhering to the feed screws.
