    • A bandsaw machine comprises lower and upper wheels (2,1) supported by a stationary shaft (2a) and a movable shaft (1a), respectively, a bandsaw blade (3) mounted on and around the wheels (1,2) to run therearound, and a bandsaw blade tension mechanism (4,5) for normally stretching said bandsaw blade (3). The bandsaw blade tension mechanism includes a lever (4), a weight (5) hung from one end of the lever, a push rod (6) having a lower end connected to the other end of the lever (4) and an upper end engaging the movable shaft (1a), and a vibration absorber (7) interposed between the weight (5) and one end of the lever (4). Thus, a balance weight is not directly influenced by vibration of a balance lever caused by changes in tensile force of a bandsaw blade, and thereby prevents transfer of its vibration to the bandsaw, changes in tensile force of the bandsaw blade, vibration and unstable travel of the bandsaw blade.

    • PURPOSE:To correct cutting warps automatically, that may occur during cutting work by a band saw machine, by changing the tension of saw element by a simple mechanism using a tension cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A saw element 1 is stretched between a left and a right wheel 3, 5 and given a tension by the oil pressure of a tension cylinder 7, and then driven in one direction by a driver device. During cutting work a warp may be produced in this saw element 1, and when this warp grows to a certain allowable limit, a sensor roller will displace to generate a voltage. When this voltage is sensed, a solenoid of a solenoid change-over valve 39 is actuated to put the oil source 35 out of communication with No.1 relief valve 41. Accordingly a high pressure is introduced to No.2 oil pressure chamber 31 of the tension cylinder 7, and the saw element 1 stretched with a corrected tension will perform the cutting work. Thus correction is performed. According to this arrangement correction of cutting warps can be made automatically.
