摘要： A dump valve (74) is provided for selectively inflating and deflating an air cushion (40) on a bed (10). The dump valve comprises an elongated housing (78) having an interior region (80) extending along a longitudinal axis (110) and is mounted to a bed deck (18) so the axis is angled relative to the deck. A connector (90) is coupled to a first end (114) of the housing to couple the housing to an air supply. A piston (88) in the interior region can slide between first and second postitions. The first position permits air to pass from the air supply, into the interior region, and through a central opening (104) to inflate the air cushion. The second position blocks air flow from the air supply into the housing and permits air to pass from the cushion, through the central opening, and through an open second end (116) of the housing to deflate the cushion.

摘要： The patient transfer apparatus of the present invention comprises: an upper movable board to load or unload patients; a transfer arm connected to the upper movable board for easily moving the upper movable board; a transfer arm housing fixed on a patient-moving bed frame so as to move the transfer arm; and a side protector laid on the patient bed so as to serve as a guide rail for enabling the transfer arm to easily move over the patient bed. The patient transfer apparatus of the present invention enables the patient to simply lie on his or her side from a recumbent position such that the patient can be loaded or unloaded onto or from the patient-moving bed, thus minimizing inconvenience to patients and easily moving the patient with fewer staff members. In addition, the patient transfer apparatus of the present invention eliminates the necessity of separate external power and eliminates the necessity of installation and withdrawal of a separate auxiliary device to enable easy operation, and the apparatus of the present invention has a simple configuration and thus can be provided in an inexpensive manner.

摘要： PURPOSE: A stretcher is provided to hold the head of a patient in an appropriate posture according to the physique and symptom of the patient. CONSTITUTION: A headrest is formed on the part of a frame supporting the head of the patient, the frame forming a stretcher body which is movable with the patient resting thereon. The headrest is supported in such a way as to be adjustable in inclination by means of a first bracket secured to the head portion of the frame while pointing to the headrest, a second bracket secured to the back of the headrest while at least partly overlying the first bracket, and a connecting means for permitting or preventing relative rotation between both brackets. A through hole in the second bracket through which the connecting means passes is an oblong hole elongated in the direction perpendicular to the frame, and the headrest can move toward and away from the frame within the range of the stroke of the oblong hole. The second bracket is desirably provided with a regulating pin when the headrest is lowered, to prevent relative rotation between the second bracket and the first bracket.
