摘要： A vertical and articulated system to move furniture particularly adapted to be used in systems created for people that cannot move easily such as people with special needs. The furniture of the present invention moves vertically and articulated assuming a position that allows the user to manipulate desired utensils. This movement of both a lower and upper module is obtained through a motorized track system with brakes, jambs and sensors such that the furniture can be returned to the original height by motion of a manual or remote control. The system is generally constructed from a metallic structure with internal mechanisms to execute the movements of lowering, raising and articulating which are set in motion by a manual or remote control. The parts of this structure are one or more aerial modules adequately fixed to a reference structure through articulated arms and a lower module that also can move vertically upward and downward allowing the accessibility to the disabled person to the furniture. The upper module moves out and down, while the lower module moves down. The motion is coordinated so the modules do not collide.

摘要： A handicapped accessible work table having a horizontal transparent table top, with removable plant trays, cushioned arm rest edges, and vertical legs with caster wheels. The tabletop is supported by parallel identical one piece aluminum frames. Each frame is formed from bending an aluminum bar at several points. Each side frame has vertical legs that have upper portions that bend to form supports for the table top and an upwardly bent mid-section that passes through a slot in the table top. A cross-brace bar connects the top of the opposite upwardly bent mid-sections of each frame to give the table structural support above the tabletop. Thus, wheelchairs have no obstacles when positioned about and under the edges of the table. An ultraviolet light source can be connected to the cross-brace bar so that plantings in the trays can have an adequate light source for growth when the table is used for gardening. The tabletop can include a solid working surface. The tabletop can be used for home applications such as laundry, kitchen and food preparation.

摘要： A picnic table is provided which includes a generally flat, horizontal table top and first and second pairs of leg support members for supporting the table top above a supporting surface. Each leg support member is generally J-shaped and has a first end mounted to the underside of the table top, and a second end mounted to the underside of a seat by a mounting assembly which supports each seat and braces the seat against a corresponding leg support member. The table top defines an overhanging end portion which extends beyond one of the pairs of leg support members a distance sufficient to enable a wheelchair to be disposed therebelow, and a brace member is interconnected between the overhanging portion of the table top and the pair of leg support members for supporting the overhanging portion of the table top. The brace member includes a bend so as to provide unobstructed access for a wheelchair below the overhanging portion of the table top. An anti-tip member extends from a leg of the table to prevent the tipping of the overhanging portion of the table top when a load is placed thereon.

摘要： An accessory-supporting attachment frame is removably coupled to the vertical bracing members which extend downwardly from the front terminus portions of the wheelchair armrests, said bracing members being disposed substantially rearwardly of the front edge of the wheelchair seat. The coupling is of the swing-down type. Stabilizing locators extend downwardly from the frame and engage the bracing members to position the frame horizontally. The frame is disposed below the plane of the armrests and extends from between the chair back and front seat edge and forwardly to beyond said edge. The frame is adapted to receive thereover an accessory, such as a tray, via a connection therebetween which permits support of the accessory on the tray while holding the accessory against horizontal movement. The coupling between the frame and bracing members is such as to be automatically releasable to protect the patient in the event the wheelchair tips forwardly so that the front edge of the frame and/or accessory engages the floor.
