    • A system for enabling communication between devices is described. The system includes the following: a media processing information receiver configured for receiving, at a first device, media processing information associated with a second device, wherein at least one of the first and second device is a mobile device; a comparer configured for comparing the media processing information to a processing time of the at least one media processing component of the first device; a target adjustment level determiner configured for determining a target adjustment level, wherein arriving at the target adjustment level enables the first and second device to achieve a matching media processing quality level; and a media processing component adjuster coupled with the computer and configured for adjusting the at least one media processing component of the first device to meet the target adjustment level.

    • A system and method for information retrieval comprises a computing device with a client and a progressive feature server coupled by a network. The client includes a feature extraction module, a progressive sending module, a sampling module and a feedback receiver. The progressive sending module divides the features into groups and sends them to the server. The progressive sending module is also responsive to commands from the feedback receiver to terminate the transmission of additional features if a match is found. The progressive feature server is coupled for communication with the client and includes a progressive receiving module, a feedback generator, an image recognizer and a result delivery module. The image recognizer progressively processes the groups of extracted features received from the client and provides results and hints for improved recognition. The present invention also includes methods for processing captured information progressively, sending extracted features in groups, and progressively performing image recognition for improved recognition speed.

    • The present invention discloses a full parallax three-dimensional display device. It comprises a projector array and an orthogonal cylinder raster screen. The orthogonal cylinder raster screen comprises the first cylinder raster and the second cylinder raster. The projector array and the orthogonal cylinder raster screen are put in order. The projector array projects images on the orthogonal cylinder raster screen. The raster directions of the first cylinder raster and the second cylinder raster of the orthogonal cylinder raster screen are parallel to the x-axis and the y-axis, respectively. The advantage of the present invention is that it can generate 3D images of high image resolution and high view-field resolution. The extremely tiny view field intervals can bring completely continuous and jumping-free 3D perception for the viewer, reduce the fatigue caused by discontinuous view field in conventional 3D display, and achieve full parallax 3D display including horizontal parallax and vertical parallax.
