摘要： An error voltage which includes serious fluctuation due to noise is applied to a LPF, and high frequency component due to noise is removed. The error voltage supplied through the LPF and a reference level, for example, 0-level voltage are supplied to a comparator. The comparator compares magnitude of theses two voltage each other, and outputs a signal which indicates polarity corresponding to the comparison result. As described herein above, by removing high frequency component included in the error voltage to be supplied to the comparator with the LPF, the polarity signal with reduced fluctuation due to noise and good quality can be obtained. Thus the polarity of an error voltage for controlling rotation of a disc can be judged correctly.

摘要： The present invention relates to a recording medium recorded with audio data and general data (including image data for computers and character data) mixed together, provided with data for each control region, where by providing a special simple control region, editing of complicated control regions does not have to be carried out and a memory region is not necessary as a working region for editing. The present invention also provides a playback device where playback can be achieved without mixing the simple control region with the control region for the audio and general data and, by also recording copy-protection information at the simple control region, a playback operation from a recording medium which has been copied illegally will not be possible. The present invention further relates to a recording device for updating each control region while data updating is being carried out at the recording medium.

摘要： A magneto-optical recording apparatus comprising an optical head shiftable in the diametrical direction of a magneto-optical disk and capable of irradiating a light beam onto the magneto-optical disk, and a magnetic head disposed to be mutually opposite to the optical head with the magneto-optical disk interposed therebetween and capable of applying a magnetic field to the magneto-optical disk while being shifted in the diametrical direction of the magneto-optical disk, wherein the magnetic head is shiftable in the diametrical direction of the magneto-optical disk together with the optical head. The magnetic head consists of an E-shaped core and a coil wound around a center core element thereof, and the E-shaped core is so formed that the sectional length of the center core element in one direction extending toward two side core elements becomes equal to or shorter than the sectional length in another direction orthogonal thereto. The magnetic head is so disposed that the orthogonal direction of its core becomes coincident with the diametrical direction of the magneto-optical disk.

摘要： A transfer type heat-sensitive recording medium having a porous base impregnated with a colorless color former. A layer of thermally melting ink is formed on one side of the porous base. The first layer is brought into contact with a recording sheet. A layer of thermally melting wax containing a color developer is formed on the opposite side of said porous base and selectively heated according to a video signal. The wax melts and permeates into the porous base to allow the color developer to color on reaction with the colorless color former. The wax layer is further heated by thermal irradiating so that the ink of the ink layer is molten in correspondence to the coloring.

A preferential selection circuit converts each video signal into a 2-level signal and performs an arithmetic operation on each 2-level signal to thereby key the image information from each area of the original to one of the recording colors or white.
