    • A method is provided to establish an ad-hoc PoC group session by causing a PoC client with a pre-established session to use an existing session as a conference server for a group PoC call and by including many individuals and members of at least one PoC group among talk targets. In the method, a session invitation proxy message, which includes session dialog information, entry uniform resource identifiers (URIs), and a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message method, is transmitted to an originating PoC server in a state in which the pre-established session is established. The originating PoC server transmits the message based on the SIP message method to a destination address included in the session invitation proxy message. Finally, the ad-hoc session is established between an originating PoC system and the destination address included in the session invitation proxy message.

    • Provided is a method and system for granting the floor in a PoC network, in which, when a PoC server makes a request to establish a PoC session according to preset information of a PoC client wishing to make a PoC call rather than a session invitation request of the PoC client, an INVITE message is sent to the PoC client, including content related to grant of the session's initial talk turn, thereby lessening the signaling burden of a talk burst control protocol message. The method includes sending an INVITE message to a terminating PoC client when it is determined that session initiation requirements are met, and sending the INVITE message to an originating PoC client when a response signal to the INVITE message is received from the terminating PoC client.

    • A method and system for guaranteeing a seamless session when replacing a PoC terminal in a PoC system is provided, in which a currently busy PoC client can be replaced in an existing busy PoC session using a PoC compliant client capable of connecting the PoC session, thereby preventing a transmitted media stream of the running PoC session from being lost when the PoC client is replaced. The method includes transmitting, by an arbitrary PoC user, a message for replacing a terminal from a user terminal to a session management server while maintaining the session; receiving, by the session management server, the replacement request message, and transmitting an INVITE message to a terminal to be replaced, or a target terminal; and receiving, by the target terminal, the INVITE message, and media through an existing session. In a situation where there is a need to replace the PoC terminal according to change of the media for the PoC call, request of mobility, etc. by the PoC user, the user is allowed to make a continuous call. Thus, it is possible to improve QoE of the user and expand the markets for the PoC terminal and its services.

    • Provided is a system and method for providing a converged messaging service, which can be compatibly used with or replace various services, such as an Instant Messaging (IM) service, a Short Message Service (SMS), a Multimedia Message Service (MMS), a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service, and a PTT over Cellular (PoC) service. To do this, there are defined an architecture and interfacing of a Converged Messaging Client (CMC) and a CM Server (CMS), which are elements of a converged messaging service for being compatibly used with or replacing the various services. In particular, there is suggested a method of enabling interworking between heterogeneous messaging services in an application layer by expending IP Multimedia Core Network (CN) Subsystem (IMS) technology. There is also suggested a method of defining a CM data storage for supporting the converged messaging service and managing a message and metadata stored in the defined CM data storage.
