    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device and a transmission control method capable of preventing communication quality and throughput from deteriorating. SOLUTION: The degree of variation is estimated in the state of a frame signal propagation path. A frame signal transmission means is used to transmit a first frame for requesting information required for determining a modulation system and an error correction coding system used for transmitting the frame by the frame signal transmission means. Then, response time is measured until a second frame including the information is received by a frame signal reception means. A response time threshold for determining the presence or absence of reliability in the information is determined based on the degree of variation in the state to the response time. The information in the second frame received in the response time that is smaller than the response time threshold is used to change the modulation system and the error correction coding system used, when the frame is transmitted by the frame signal transmission means.
