    • A cap member of an internally geared hub includes a cap body and a first seal member. The cap body has a side wall part and an outer cylindrical part provided with an internally threaded section that meshes with external threads of a cylindrical member of a hub shell. The side wall part has an opening in the center thereof configured such that a driver inside the hub shell extends there-through. The side wall part is configured to extend radially inward from a first axial end section of the outer cylindrical part. A first seal member is arranged on the side wall part of the cap body and configured to contact the driver thereby creating a seal around the driver.

    • A travel state of a vehicle is detected by a travel-state detecting device. A lateral slip angle of a vehicle body is calculated as a first lateral slip angle in a first lateral slip angle calculating device by integrating a differentiated value of lateral slip angle determined based on a non-linear four-wheel vehicle's motion model. A lateral slip angle of the vehicle body is calculated as a second lateral slip angle in a second lateral slip angle calculating device by a calculation in a linear two-wheel vehicle's motion model. One of the first and second lateral slip angles is selected alternatively in a selecting device in accordance with the travel state detected by the travel-state detecting device such that the second lateral slip angle is selected when the travel-state detecting device detects a state in which the vehicle is traveling straightforwardly at a low speed. A slip angle of each of wheels is calculated by a slip angle calculating device based on the lateral slip angle selected in the selecting device. Thus, the lateral slip angle of the vehicle body can be calculated with good accuracy using an appropriate calculating equation depending on the travel state of the vehicle, and the wheel slip angle can be determined with good accuracy using the lateral slip angle of high accuracy.

    • An internal motorized bicycle hub includes a hub axle, a motor, a first bearing, a second bearing, a spacer and a movement restricting section. The motor has a rotor and a stator. The first and second bearings rotatably support the rotor on the hub axle. The second bearing is axially spaced apart from the first bearing. Each of the first and second bearings includes an inner race attached to the hub axle, an outer race attached to the rotor, and a rolling element arranged between the inner and outer races. The spacer is arranged between the inner races. The movement restricting section restricts movement of the inner race of the first bearing in a direction of separating from the bearing of the second bearing. The spacer presses the bearing of the first bearing towards the movement restricting section.

    • A punch assisting apparatus usable in combination with one of a plurality of punches includes an apparatus base and a handle pivotably attached to the apparatus base, the apparatus base being provided with a punch holder integrated therein which allows the plurality of punches having different sizes to be independently positioned and fixed in accordance with their respective sizes. The punch holder is configured so as to provide both a use position and a nonuse position by changing its posture; whereby, when a punch is mounted to the punch assisting apparatus to replace the one previously mounted, the punch can always be positioned at a given position regardless of the type of punch.
