    • PURPOSE:To contact a printing head with recording paper under pressure by proper pressure contact force regardless of the thickness of the recording paper, by transmitting the rotation of a drive motor not only to an eccentric shaft by a friction clutch at the time of zero position detecting operation but also to the eccentric shaft by a one-way clutch at the time of head gap setting operation. CONSTITUTION:Because a printing head is moved up and down by driving a stepping motor 34, a head gap can be automatically adjusted. A rotation transmitting mechanism 35 is equipped with a friction clutch 46 transmitting the rotation of the motor 34 to an eccentric shaft 32 at the time of zero position detecting operation (pressing operation) and a one-way clutch 40 transmitting the rotation of the motor 34 to the eccentric shaft 32 at the time of gap setting operation (returning operation) raising the printing head by definite quantity from a zero position. Because of this, the printing head can be pressed to recording paper by proper pressure contact force. As a result, the trouble such as impressing trace or contamination of the recording paper is prevented and the compressing change thereof is reduced and the detection accuracy of the zero position is enhanced and the head gap can be set certainly.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent such adverse effects as vibrations or the like as well as reduce the titled device in size and conserve energy, by allowing an attraction force to act also between an extended part of an armature and a yoke. CONSTITUTION:A rear panel 4 as a yoke is provided with a bent part 4a and therefore has an L-shaped cross-section. An electromagnet 10 is composed of a core 11, a spool 12 and a coil 13 and is secured to the bent part 4a. An armature 14 is rotatably supported between the axis of the electromagnet 10 and the rear panel 4 so as to oppose to a core top 11a of the electromagnet 10 and has its rotating shaft 15 carried between opposing side panels 2, 3 constituting a frame 1. An opening 20 is bored in the part of the rear panel 4 at the position corresponding to that of armature 14, and one end of the armature 14 is extended so as to enter the inside of the opening 20. Thus, an attraction force acts also between the extended part 21 and the upper and edge of the opening 20 in the rear panel 4 as a yoke, thereby allowing the armature 14 to pivot against the urging force applied by a return spring 19.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce load at the time of reset operation and improve the efficiency of manipulation by rotating an engaging part of a shifting member while depressing it by the engaging part of a sliding lever at the reset operation to release the engagement between double pawls and a star gear temporally. CONSTITUTION:A ball 54 is pivotally mounted on a ball shaft 57 and double pawls 58A, 58B to be alternately engaged with a star gear 34 of the lowest digit wheel 29a are unitedly mounted on the leading end part of the ball 54. An engaging part 60 consisting of projection projected from the opening 27 of a frame 3 into a recessed part 17 is projected on the upper front end part of the outside of the ball 54 and, by depressing the engaging part 60 downwards by a sliding lever 6 at the time of reset operation, the ball 54 is rotated at a small angle in the counterclock direction against a spring 61 and the engagement between the star gear 34 and the double pawl 58B is temporally disengaged. Said constitution makes it possible to reduce load at the time of reset operation and improve the efficiency of manipulation.

    • PURPOSE:To perform assembling operation easily and securely by extending the long teeth of a pinion, which is interposed between number wheels for carry operation, to the high-order digit side while making them symmetric on the left- hand and right-hand sides along an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The long teeth 8a of a pinion 8 are extended to the high-order digit side, and the short teeth 8b are each positioned in the center between the long teeth 8a in their axial direction; and thus the shape of the pinion 8 is made symmetric on the left-hand and right-hand sides to eliminate directivity in its assembling operation. Then, a carry segment 7a and transfer segments 7b are provided on the flanks of a number wheel 7 on the high-order digit side and low-order digit side respectively in conformity with the shapes of the long teeth 8a and short teeth 8b. Then, step parts 7c are formed alternately between the segments 7b to lock the side end part of the short teeth 8b, restraining the axial movement of the pinion 8. The segments 7a, on the other hand, are projected to the axial center of the pinion 8, and the other-end sides of the short teeth 8b are opposed to the flank of the wheel 7 on the low-order digit side; and the peripheral surface of the number wheel 7 is cut by the extent of the projection of the long teeth 8a.

    • PURPOSE:To realize a survival type preset counter with a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:Gear 18a of gear main body 18 in intermediate gear 17 meshes with gear 7a of counting wheel 7, and the intermediate gear is rotated together with the operation of the conting wheel. Counting wheel 7 is set to advance stepwise in the counterclockwise direction, and therefore, intermediate gear 17 is rotated in the clockwise direction. In respect to intermediate gear 17 and setting wheel 14, the tooth of ratchet gear 20 of intermediate gear 17 is placed between two teeth 14b' and 14b'' of star gear 14b of setting wheel 14, and these two teeth 14b' and 14b'' are placed outside the circle of the tooth tip of the ratchet gear, and thus, the rotation of intermediate gear 17 is not transferred to setting wheel 14 even if intermediate gear 17 is rotated. That is, the rotation is not transferred to setting wheel 14 during the counting operation, and the numeric value on the setting wheel survives as it is.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the residual type preset counter excellent in the operability with simple construction, by linking the cam gear with the set or count wheel through the switching of cover, in a preset counter providing the counter wheel and set wheel. CONSTITUTION:On the shafts detached up and down and in parallel with each other, counter wheels 10-13 and set wheels 17-20 are provided and cam gears 61-64 are provided among them, and the shaft of the cam gears is selectively shaken to 2 positions with the switching of the cover 93, so that the cam gear can be linked to the set wheels 17-20 or count wheels 10-13. Thus, the numeral to be set can always be confirmed with the numeral on the set wheel. Thus, any body can confirm the set value on its way other than people in charge. Further, complicated slip mechanism is not given to the counter wheels, cam gears and set wheels, allowing easy construction and high durability. The set operation is very simple and no misoperation can be expected.
