摘要： A toner for developing electrostatic images, comprising a binder resin and a colorant, the binder resin including a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous resin. When, in differential scanning calorimetry of the toner according to ASTM D3418-8, the temperature of the endothermic peak derived from the crystalline polyester resin in a first heating process is defined as Tm1 (° C.), the endothermic quantity based on the endothermic peak in the first heating process is defined as ΔH1 (mW/g), and the endothermic quantity based on the endothermic peak in a second heating process is defined as ΔH2 (mW/g), Tm1 is 50 to 80° C, and ΔH1 and ΔH2 satisfy the relationship represented by the following Formula (1). When the softening temperature of the toner is defined as Tf1/2 (° C.), Tf1/2 is 85 to 135° C. Tm1 and Tf1/2 satisfy the relationship represented by the following Formula (2): 0.35≦ΔH2/ΔH1≦0.95 Formula (1) Tf1/2≦205−(1.4×Tm1) Formula (2).

摘要： An image forming method, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus are provided, with which an electrophotographic image that has superior image quality, superior fixing ability and remains good even in a hot and humid environment is obtainable. The image forming method includes: developing, with a developing agent, an electrostatic latent image formed on a surface of a photoreceptor to form a toner image; transferring the toner image onto an image receiving member to form a transfer image; and fixing the transferred image onto the image receiving member to form an image, wherein the photoreceptor includes a layer that contains a siloxane compound having charge-transferability and a crosslinking structure, with a compound having acid-adsorbing ability being supplied to the surface of the photoreceptor. The process cartridge and the image forming apparatus are used in the image forming method.

摘要： Provided is a toner having good offset resistance and capable of giving non-glaring, high-quality images with high OHP transparency, and a method of image formation with it. The toner includes at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax. The THF soluble component of the toner, as analyzed through gel permeation chromatography, has a number-average molecular weight falling between 2500 and 5500, a weight-average molecular weight falling between 13000 and 25000, and a peak molecular weight falling between 5000 and 15000, and contains a fraction having a molecular weight of at least 105 in a ratio of at most 10% by weight of the component and a fraction having a molecular weight of at least 104 in a ratio of from 30 to 70% by weight of the component, and the wax in the toner has a DSC endothermic peak falling between 50 and 120° C.

As the external additive, a titanium compound obtained by reacting TiO(OH)2 prepared by a wet method and a silane compound is preferably used.
