    • A mode changeover control system for a transmission wherein the starting of a vehicle can be prevented even if the transmission is changed over to the drive mode side while a side stand is in an erected position. In a motorcycle including a mode changeover mechanism for a continuously variable transmission, and a side stand, there is provided a changeover operation section changed over by the driver between operation positions corresponding respectively to a drive mode position and a neutral mode position of the mode changeover mechanism. An electronic control unit operates the mode changeover mechanism based on the changeover operation position of the changeover operation section. The control section is configured so as to continually maintain the mode changeover mechanism in the neutral mode position even if the changeover operation section is operated to a drive mode operation position while the side stand is in a stored position.

    • To provide a vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system the power consumption of which can be reduced. A vehicular two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive switching system is provided with a switching unit for transmitting power or disconnecting the transmission of power. The switching unit is provided with a driving shaft connected to the drive side, a driven shaft fitted to the driving shaft via an annular clearance gap. A plurality of connecting/disconnecting members are provided in a clearance between the driving shaft and the driven shaft for connecting or disconnecting the driving shaft and the driven shaft by being fitted or disconnected to/from respective opposite surfaces. A switching mechanism is provided for selectively positioning the connecting/disconnecting members in a position in which the driving shaft and the driven shaft are connected and in a position in which the driving shaft and driven shaft are disconnected. A control unit is provided for supplying driving current to the switching mechanism by repeating continuous supply and supply by duty cycle control.

    • A carburetor for an internal combustion engine has an intake pipe 30 having a throttle valve plate 41 therein. An annular venturi tube 20 is disposed upstream or downstream of the throttle valve plate 41 inside the intake pipe 30. The annular venturi tube 20 is located at a predetermined interval with the throttle valve plate 41. The annular venturi tube 20 has a fine continuous annular slit or four or more annularly arranged fuel discharging pores 27 so as to atomize the fuel thereat. Atomization is always carried out near a position where a fastest air moves so as to improve the atomization and obtaining a uniform air-fuel mixture, thereby improving an output, fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission of the internal combustion engine.
