    • A mount for mounting a sign to the post of an associated structure includes a base element fixedly mounted to the post that defines a hinge region and a base plane, and a support arm having a shoulder mounted at the shoulder to the base element. The support arm is pivotable about the base element between a first position parallel to the base plane and a second position transverse to the base plane. A pair of springs extend between and connect the base element and the support arm. The base element and the support arm are engaged with one another, and are maintained engaged with one another, only by the tension of the springs.

The mounting element has a body having an opening therein that is defined by edges. The opening has a predetermined shape. The body has a pair of resilient fingers extending rearwardly from the body. The fingers define portions of the edges of the opening in the body. A wedge has a base and a pair of resilient legs depending from the base. The wedge has a predetermined shape adapted for receipt in the body opening. The legs each have a notch formed therein. The mounting element is positioned with the resilient fingers in the supporting structure wall opening with the fingers locked to the supporting structure wall and the wedge is received in the body opening to interfere with the mounting element fingers flexing inward, securing the mounting element to the support structure.

    • An adjustable sign mount and graphic for mounting to an associated display includes a spine, a mounting bracket and a graphic. The spine has an elongated dimension and is formed having a bracket channel and a graphic channel. Each the bracket channel and the graphic channel include a plurality of support walls transverse to the spine elongated dimension and a plurality of locking walls parallel to the spine elongated dimension and extending respectively from the support walls to define bracket channel and graphic channel upper and lower locking walls. The bracket channel and graphic channel upper and lower locking walls define bracket and graphic spine openings, respectively, in the bracket and graphic channels. The mounting bracket has a first end mountable to the associated display and a second end defining a mounting portion that is configured for insertion into one of the bracket spine openings and lockingly engagable with opposing upper and lower bracket locking walls. The graphic has a mounting portion and an indicia-containing portion. The mounting portion is formed at an edge of the graphic and includes a plurality of hook-like elements, each having a barb at an end thereof. The hook-like elements are configured for insertion into an associated graphic spine opening and the graphic is movable for engaging each barb with an associated graphic locking wall to secure the graphic to the spine.

    • A mounting system for mounting a sign, such as a sheet or a panel to a shelf system having a pair of support posts and a shelf extending transverse to the support posts, includes a display portion having first and second generally parallel, spaced apart runners connected to one another by a pair of spaced apart connecting members defining a sign receiving region. The display portion includes at least one of a shelf mounting bracket receiving region, a wall surface mounting bracket receiving region and a wall top mounting bracket receiving region. The shelf mounting bracket receiving region includes a pivoting element for pivotally mounting the display portion to a shelf mounting bracket for pivoting the display portion between a first position and a second position. The display portion is maintained in the first position by releasable engagement of the display portion with the shelf mounting bracket. The wall surface mounting bracket receiving region includes an elongated opening in at least one of the connecting members intermediate the runners. The opening extends along a portion of the connecting member and is adapted to receive a wall surface mounting bracket. The wall top mounting bracket receiving region includes a notch in one of the runners at an end thereof. The notch extends along a portion of the runner and is adapted to receive a wall top mounting bracket. A shelf mounting bracket is used to mount the display portion to the shelf. The wall surface and wall top mounting brackets are used to mount the display portion between the pair of support posts.

    • A sign mounting system for adjustably mounting a sign such as a sheet or panel to an associated structure includes an elongated frame portion mountable to the sign and a mounting element for mounting the frame to the structure. The frame portion includes a central runner and side walls extending generally transversely from the runner. The side walls are spaced from one another and in conjunction with the runner define a track. The side walls each terminate in a lip spaced from the runner a first predetermined distance. The mounting element includes a cam having first and second sliding surfaces spaced from one another a distance substantially equal to the first predetermined distance, and first and second camming surfaces spaced from one another a distance greater than the first predetermined distance. The mounting element is pivotal between a first adjusting position in which the sliding surfaces are adjacent the runner and lips, and a second locking position in which the camming surfaces engage and lock between the runner and lips.

    • An electrically operated actuator (12, 112, 212, 312) automatically operates dead-bolt assemblies and other locks, while preserving manual operation of the locks. The actuator assembly has rotating means for rotation of the drive bar (18), which in turn extends or retracts the bolt (14) of the lock. The rotating means may be a lever (28, 128, 238, 328, 438) attached to the drive bar (18) that is pivotable about the axis of rotation of the drive bar (18). The actuator assembly has driving means that forces the rotating means to rotate. The driving means is responsive to an electrical signal, which, for example, may be initiated from a remote-controlled transmitter (502, 602). The driving means may include a motor (20, 120, 220) for rotating a rod (22, 122, 222, 322) that in turn operates an assembly that rotates or drives the rotating means. In response to an electrical signal, the driving means actuates the rotating means to affect either a locking or unlocking operation, which operations are always completed by placing the actuator assembly in a state whereby the bolt of the lock may subsequently be extended or retracted manually, or automatically by the driving means.
