    • A liquid crystal display 10 of the invention has a transparent substrate 11 on which are provided multiple signal lines 17, scan lines 16 and auxiliary capacity lines 18, plus TFTs and pixel electrodes 20 that are electrically coupled to the TFTs' drain electrodes D. The auxiliary capacity lines 18 are formed with an Al—Nd alloy layer coated with a layer of molybdenum. Each pixel region, except for the auxiliary capacity lower electrode 18a on the auxiliary capacity line 18, is coated over by a first insulating film 25 and by a second insulating film 26 that is thinner than the first insulating film 25. Further, the auxiliary capacity lower electrodes 18a are coated over by the second insulating film 26, and auxiliary capacity upper electrodes 18b are provided on the surface of the second insulating film 26 at the auxiliary capacity lower electrodes 18a. Thanks to such structure, a small-pixel-area or high-definition liquid crystal display, and manufacturing method therefor, can be provided whereby short circuits in the regions forming the auxiliary capacity are few, the auxiliary capacity is large, and display irregularities such as crosstalk or flicker are satisfactorily curbed.

    • A tire condition monitor device includes a circuit board mounted on a tire wheel for detecting a pneumatic pressure in an interior of a tire. The circuit board is covered with urethane resin. The urethane resin has finer resin meshes as compared with the conventional silicon resin serving as a board protecting resin. Since sulfur gas and water is hard to permeate through the urethane resin, gas barrier and dampproof properties can be improved. In a method of manufacturing the tire condition monitor device, a prebaking process is carried out before a board protecting process of covering the circuit board with the urethane resin. Since moisture contained in the circuit board is vaporized, the circuit board covered with the urethane resin can reliably be protected from moisture.

    • A liquid crystal display apparatus is constituted whereby multiple source driver circuits provided with a driver IC are connected to the periphery of a liquid crystal display panel, and power supply voltages supplied from the outside are sequentially supplied from a specific source driver circuit to an adjacent source driver circuit, and a wire resistance calculation wire is formed for the driver IC in the voltage supply direction upstream, and is approximately equivalent to the signal wires extending from the upstream driver IC to the adjacent driver IC in the voltage supply direction downstream. The driver IC calculates the wire resistance by impressing a certain calculated voltage to one end of the wire resistance calculation wire, and then detects the voltage on the other end, calculates the amounts of the drop in voltage level based on the calculated wire resistance, and outputs the power supply voltages increased by the calculated respective amounts of the voltage drop to the downstream driver IC. Accordingly, a display apparatus is provided for preventing a drop in the power supply voltages sequentially supplied, thereby inhibiting malfunctioning of the driver ICs, resulting in improved display quality.

    • A liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal display panel, where a liquid crystal layer is inserted as to be sandwiched between a pair of substrates, and which is provided with polarizers on opposite sides of the liquid crystal layer with the substrates residing between the polarizers, in which a light reflecting metal layer is formed on the inner surface of the substrate on a display surface, and an λ/4 retardation film is arranged between the substrate and the polarizer to serve as light reflection preventing means for the purpose of preventing the light reflected by the metal layer from outputting from the polarizer toward the display surface even if outside light is reflected by the metal layer. According to the present invention, an inexpensive liquid crystal display device is thereby obtained, where the diminution of contrast in the display due to the reflection of outside light by a black matrix is reduced.

    • In the present invention, a waste solution and a exhaust gas are guided together from a drain cup DC into a storing means through common discharge means. Naturally, the gas-liquid separation is performed within the storing means in place of performing the gas-liquid separation within the drain cup DC. Therefore, the waste solution is not solidified within the drain cup so as to plug the common discharge means. Also, a predetermined waste solution is kept stored in the storing means included in the coating apparatus of the present invention, making it possible to permit the surface of the stored waste solution to absorb the mist, and the waste solution is prevented from being solidified within the storing means. Further, since a minimum amount of the exhaust gas is kept discharged even during non-operation of the coating apparatus by using an exhaust gas damper whose degree of opening can be controlled, the waste solution stored in the storing means is prevented from being solidified. Also, the waste solution evaporated within the storing means can be released to the outside.
