摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To engage a mating connector regularly with the connector on the receiving side. SOLUTION: A connector mounting plate 8 is attached to the rear side of an instrument panel 1. A pair of support walls 16 are projected at the front of an insertion hole 10, and a pair of upper and lower mobile members 14 are supported shiftably in the backward and forward direction between the support walls. The female connector 9 on waiting side is accommodated between both mobile members 14 is condition that the lock plate 22 lies in front of the insertion hole 10. When electric equipment 2 is inserted into the opening 3 for mounting, the energizing plate 7 of a male connector 5 flexes, riding on a projection 28, whereby it opens a flexible board 20, and the lock plate 22 is locked, and both connectors 5 and 9 are engaged with each other while a female connector 6 being retained in work position. When they are engaged with each other regularly, the projection 28 fits in a release hole 29, and the flexible plate 28 closes, whereby the lock is released, and when a worker pushes in the electric equipment 2 subsequently, it is pushed into the regular setup position.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female side terminal fitting with which a lifting of a base end section of an elastic contact piece can be restricted even for a miniaturized female side terminal fitting. SOLUTION: At a front half section of a female side terminal fitting 1, there is arranged a square tubular connection section 5 to be connected with a male tab 4 provided at a partner male side terminal fitting. In the inside of the connection section 5, a pair of contact sections 9C, 18 are arranged respectively at a contact wall section 17 on the upper surface and at a bottom wall section 23 on the lower surface. Both of the contact sections 9C, 18 are so configured that they come in contact elastically with each other while pinching a male tab 4. The second contact section 9C is arranged at the tip side of an elastic contact piece 9. A locking edge 25 is provided protruding at the side edge of the base end section 9A of the elastic contact piece 9 and when the locking edge 25 is caught in a locking hole 26 opened at a side wall section 15, the position of the base end section 9A of the elastic contact piece 9 is fixed, leading the lifting of the base end section 9A to be restricted.

That is, since excessive strut or tension between the movable holding parts 21A and 21B are avoided, an increase of the stress at a soldering part M of a terminal 15 is prevented.

According to the turning operation, an electric wire holder 15A at the tip at the upper surface of a connecting portion 15 of the electric wire cover 4 is assembled, while an electric wire W is bent. When a lockign projection 10 is fitted into a locking piece 11 at the sidewall surface 17, the connector housing 3 and the electric wire cover 4 reach the closing position, thereby completing the assembling work of a connector 1.
