    • PURPOSE:To rapidly and certainly perform diagnostic treatment according to working procedure even in a fine lumen, by forming a fine diameter part having at least one pipeline to a leading end part and making two or more optical fibers or tubes accessible to said fine diameter part. CONSTITUTION:A catheter 1 has a fine diameter part 2 provided to the leading end part thereof and two pipelines 5, 6 continuously extending from the leading end part of the fine diameter part 2 to the rear large diameter part 3 are provided in the catheter 1 and the pipeline 5 supplies gas to the fixed balloon 7 provided to the leading end part. The pipeline 6 is formed so as to have a diameter larger than that of the pipeline 5 and has a size capable of easily introducing all of a laser guide fiber 10, an endoscopic image fiber 11, a leading end control wire 12 and a blood excluding liquid bore 13 to be received in the catheter at the part passed through the fine diameter part 2. A plurality of optical fibers or tubes are allowed to stand by in a preliminarily arranged state with respect to the lesion part of a fine lumen and, at a necessary time, only the necessary optical fiber and tube can be inserted in the fine diameter part 2 selectively and instantaneously in an accessible manner.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permeate various kinds of liquids and gases into a stretched porous body of a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) resin consisting of fibers and knots and to enable the efficient execution of chemical reaction by active materials by immobilizing the active materials to a hydrophilic resin layer formed on a resin surface inclusive of the inside of the porous body described above. SOLUTION: When the porous body filter for treating the liquids or gases passing the inside of the porous material by utilizing the chemical reaction of enzyme and catalyst is efficiently manufactured, the inside of the stretched porous filter of the PTFE resin is impregnated with the aqueous hydrophilic resin solution dispersed with the active materials and thereafter, the hydrophilic resin is crosslinked and fixed, by which the active materials are fixed to the PTFE surface. Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA), acrylate base resin, etc., are usable as the hydrophilic resin and if the PTFE porous filter is impregnated with the PVA, the phenomenon that the PVA is thinly and uniformly adsorbed on the PTFE surface appears and the formation of the uniform coating layer of the hydrophilic resin having a high space retaining property is facilitated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a stent with excellent biocompatibility, especially antithrombogenesity, and least danger of renarrowing by setting up a cover layer consisting of a porous membrane of tetra-fluoroethylene resin on outer and inner faces of a tube-shaped structure composed of an elastic wire rod. CONSTITUTION:A tube-shaped structure is formed by bending down a stainless wire rod in zigzag and placing stainless coil wires in a circle on the ring formed at each bent part. The outer and inner faces are covered with porous tetrafluoroethylene membrane 1 and 2, and a stent rod is inserted into it and spot-adhered to make a stent. This stent can prevent in vivo blood flow and cell immersional wetting. For example, the blood flow interception is attempted for necrosis and suppression of growth of cancer by inserting the stent in a blood vessel branch corresponding to the affective part in medical treatment of malignant neoplasm or cancer, or it can be used for medical treatment to block the outflow of cancer cell to prevent metastasis of cancer.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the artificial blood vessel imparted with elasticity to puncture by combining a porous polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) tube with an elastic resin while maintaining various characteristics of the porous PTFE tube, such as surface characteristics, bioadaptability, flexibility and tensile strength. CONSTITUTION:This artificial blood vessel has the structure which is formed by laminating the elastic resin layer 2 on the inside surface of the porous PTFE tube 1 and in which the elastic resin layer 2 partly infiltrates the inside of the porous spaces on the inside surface side of the porous PTFE tube 1. This process for production of the artificial blood vessel having the structure laminated with the elastic resin layer 2 on the inside surface of the porous PTFE tube 1 consists in inserting the tube of the elastic resin 2 into the cavity of the porous PTFE tube 1, then heating the tube to melt a part or the whole of the tube of the elastic resin 2 and infiltrating a part of the molten elastic resin 2 into the porous spaces of the porous PTFE tube 1 from its inside surface side.
