    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain hydrogen peroxide advantageouly in an industrial operation avoiding the risk of explosion in with and requiring the of a high pressure by reacting oxygen with hydrogen in a supercritical fluid containing a catalyst in the production of hydrogen peroxide from oxygen and hydrogen. SOLUTION: This method is carried out by reacting oxygen with hydrogen in a supercritical fluid containing a catalyst. The supercritical fluid is a liquid having a higher pressure than the critical pressure and a higher temperature than the critical temperature, and the critical temperature is preferable to be -20-100 deg.C. As a result, it is possible to react at a preferable temperature in the production of hydrogen peroxide. Although the critical pressure is not particularly limited, a pressure of less than 300atm is preferable from an industrial and economical point of view. As the most preferable supercritical fluid, the supercritical fluid of carbon dioxide is illustrated. It is preferable that the pressure of the reactant is 73-300atm and its temperature is 31-100 deg.C. A substance having a metal belonging to groups 9, 10 and/or 11 is illustrated as the catalyst.
