    • PURPOSE:To make a film so as to have excellent antibacterial activity and transparency by forming a film from a resin constituent containing the specified antibacterial inorganic powder, resin, a high boiling solvent and a low boiling solvent. CONSTITUTION:A film is formed from a resin constituent containing antibacterial inorganic powder, resin, a high boiling solvent of more than 100 deg.C in boiling point and a low boiling solvent of less than 100 deg.C in boiling point, but in this case, a difference between boiling points of both these solvents is more than 5 deg.C. As for the antibacterial inorganic powder, for example, antibacterial zeolite or amorphous aluminosilicate may be used. The resin constituent is prepared by mixing the antibacterial inorganic powder, resin and two types of solvents together or mixing them after adsorbing the high boiling solvent to the antibacterial inorganic powder in advance. In this mixing, a fact that viscosity of the resin constituent containing the antibacterial inorganic powder is 1,000-200,000cP, if possible, 2,000-500,000cp facilitates application work by a knife coater or a roll coater, thus it is desirable from the standpoint that a uniform resin constituent is securable in a relatively short time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the adhesion of dental plaque which is the cause for the periodontal disease by incorporating an inorg. antimicrobial agent powder into a tissue conditioner to be used as a mucous membrane control material for treatment of the subplate mucous membrane damage in a plate denture patient. SOLUTION: The inorg. antimicrobial powder is uniformly compounded with polyethyl methacrylate, etc., which are the main component of the tissue conditioner. As a result, the propagation of the intraoral bacteria is suppressed and the occurrence of slime is suppressed. The inorg. antimicrobial powder to be used is exemplified by powder formed by depositing a gaseous antimicrobial agent on an inorg. carrier. Zeolite is preferably used as the inorg. carrier. Antimicrobial zeolite powder holding an antimicrobial metal, such as silver or copper, is preferably used as the antimicrobial component to be used at the time of producing the inorg. antimicrobial powder. The antimicrobial zeolite is formed by substituting ion exchangeable ions with ammonium ions and antimicrobial metal ions and preferably includes ions of silver, copper or zinc.
