A processor receives the at least one signal and is configured to execute logic stored in a memory that causes the processor to compare the at least one signal to a predetermined limit and generate a control signal to the end effector if the at least one signal exceeds the predetermined limit. A method for remotely positioning an end effector includes moving an input device, sensing a force applied to the input device, comparing the force applied to the input device to a predetermined limit, and generating a control signal to the end effector if the force applied to the input device exceeds the predetermined limit.

摘要： A powered device augments a joint function of a human during a gait cycle using a powered actuator that supplies an augmentation torque, an impedance, or both to a joint. A controller estimates terrain slope and modulates the augmentation torque and the impedance according to a phase of the gait cycle and the estimated terrain slope to provide at least a biomimetic response. The controller may also modulate a joint equilibrium. Accordingly, the device is capable of normalizing or augmenting human biomechanical function, responsive to a wearer's activity, regardless of speed and terrain, and can be used, for example, as a knee orthosis, prosthesis, or exoskeleton.

The arrangement can be part of the cabinet when constructed or it can be an add-on feature. The arrangement includes plenum structure comprising side walls and a top wall that cooperates with the front door of the cabinet and the faces of the rack-mounted equipment to define a plenum. An air box in the cabinet draws ambient air from adjacent the floor into the plenum at a rate of at least 850 cfm. The ambient air is cooler than the air in the cabinet. The faces of the rack-mounted equipment have openings for receiving the ambient air to cool the interiors thereof. After cooling the rack-mounted equipment the air can be exhausted back to the ambient. The side walls and the top wall of the arrangement are adjustable to permit adjustment of the depth of the plenum. Pressure in the plenum can be relieved by slots in the plenum structure.

摘要： A system and method for controlling a digital video recorder on a cable network. Signaling associated with the answering or initiation of a digital telephone call by a digital telephone subscriber is used to issue commands to a digital video recorder (DVR). A signal is generated by an MTA when the telephone is enters an “off-hook” state and sent to the DVR to initiate recording of a program being viewed by the called party. When the phone goes “on-hook”, the called party resumes watching the program from exactly where it was interrupted. The MTA may be connected directly to the VTD/DVR and the telephone state is determined by the DVR from information provided by the MTA. Alternatively, a soft switch monitors signaling from the MTA indicative of the state of the called telephone. A telephone state message comprising the telephone state information is then sent over an out-of-band channel/path to a DVR client within the VTD. The DVR client uses the telephone state information to control a DVR.

In so doing, each discrete portion of text in the document is analyzed to determine its format properties. Each format in the format set is then compared to the text format. Points are added to a match quality value associated with the format when it is determined that a property of the format matches a property of the existing text format. The match quality values for each format in the format set are compared and the format having the greatest associated match quality value is applied to the discrete portion of text.

The upper housing portion includes a plurality of vent apertures. An air freshener/matrix assembly is housed within the housing assembly. A housing-to-blade connector connects the housing assembly to a ceiling fan blade. In one embodiment, the housing-to-blade connector is comprised of a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive bonded to a bottom side of the lower housing portion. The housing-to-blade connector further includes a peel strip removably adhered to a bottom surface of the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. The housing assembly includes a pointed end, and the air freshener/matrix assembly includes a complementary pointed end. The pointed end of the air freshener/matrix assembly is wedged into the pointed end of the housing assembly under an influence of centrifugal force. In a second embodiment, the housing-to-blade connector is comprised of a clip assembly which includes a pair of spring clamp members which project upward from a clip base member. A centrifugal stop member projects upward from the clip base member. A layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive is bonded to a bottom side of the clip base member. A peel strip is removably adhered to a bottom surface of the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive. A carrier assembly retains the air freshener/matrix assembly. The carrier assembly includes a pointed end.
