    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high durability electrophotographic photoreceptor free from the rise of residual potential at the time of repetitive use and having high transfer efficiency and improved cleanability by incorporating a mixture of methacrylic modified polysiloxane with another modified polysiloxane into the outermost layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: A single photosensitive layer 15 contg. an electric charge generating material and an electric charge transferring material as principal components is formed on an electrically conductive substrate 11 and a mixture of acrylic modified polysiloxane with another modified polysiloxane is incorporated into the layer 15 as the outermost layer. In the case of a laminated photoreceptor, one of an electric charge generating layer and an electric charge transferring layer positioned on the outside is the outermost layer. The another modified polysiloxane is, e.g. mercapto modified polysiloxane, phenol modified polysiloxane, polyether modified polysiloxane, fatty acid ester modified polysiloxane, polysiloxane modified with different functional groups or fluorine modified polysiloxane.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor high in transfer efficiency, improved in cleaning property and high in durability without in creaning the residual potential when it is repeatedly used and which shows by incorporating a mixture of an alkoxy-modified polysiloxane and a polysiloxane modified with different functional groups from the first polysiloxane into the outermost layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The outermost layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer 15 on a conductive substrate 11 contains a mixture of an alkoxy- modified polysiloxane and a polysiloxane modified with different functional groups from the first polysiloxane. The outermost layer is a layer containing the polysiloxane mixture and a formed on the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. Therefore, when a single-layer photoreceptor is produced, the photosensitive layer 15 in the outermost layer. When a laminated photoreceptor is produced, the one of a charge producing layer and a charge transfer layer which is formed on the surface is the outermost layer. In this method, the polysiloxane mixture is incorporated into a coating layer for the outermost layer. If the amt. of the mixture is increased, it is preferable to dissolve or disperse a specified material in a solvent for the coating liquid into which the polysiloxane mixture is incorporated.
