摘要： A drive chain comprises a plurality of inner links (1) interconnected by intermediate outer links and elongate pins (7) that are received in apertures in the inner and outer links. There is substantial clearance between the outer link and the corresponding inner links so as to permit flexion of the adjacent elongate pins in a direction substantially parallel to the length of the chain. The outer link may be in the form of a separate plate (6) or may be an integral part of the pins. In one embodiment the outer link is a crimped plate that offers resilience in the direction of the chain. The drive chains provide for shock absorption.

摘要： A drive chain has opposed pairs of inner link plates (3) that are interconnected by cast outer links (2). Pins (4) pass through aligned apertures in overlapping end portions of the inner and outer links. Each pin (4) is fixed relative to the inner link (1). The outer link (2) has open or blind bores (7) that receive end portions of the pins (4) in a pivotal relationship. A bearing area is defined between the outer surface of the pin (4) and an inner surface of the outer link bore (7). The provision of a bearing area in the outer link makes maintenance and sealing easier.

摘要： A chain sprocket assembly, for a conveyor chain, has a hub 10 for rotation about a rotational axis and a plurality of tooth blocks 13 fixed to an outer periphery of the hub 10. The tooth blocks 13 have inner portions (13b, fig 2) by which they are fixed to the hub 10 and outer portions (13a) that define teeth for engagement with a chain (25, fig 4) and a recess for receipt of a roller (29) of the chain (25). Hub 10, tooth blocks 13 and hub plates 12 are fixed by a plurality of fixing pins 21 or bolts that extend through the hub plates 12 and the hub 10. The fixing pins 21 are an interference fit in apertures (19) and may be riveted. Tooth blocks 13 may be keyed into engagement with the hub plates 12 and the number of teeth may be varied so as to accommodate chains with different pitches.

摘要： A chain comprises inner and outer links that articulate relative to one another on pins (3). The outer links having apertures (14) which receive said pin ends in such a way that the links are easily assembled or dismantled. The pin ends have a retention portion (6) that defines a flat (9) and a bearing portion (7) disposed between the retention portion (6) and the inner link and defining a bearing surface for the outer link. The aperture in the outer link has an arcuate edge and a flat (15) corresponding to that on the retention portion (6). The bearing surface has an arcuate portion (10) that provides a rotational sliding fit with the arcuate edge of the outer link aperture (14) and a reduced portion (12) that is undercut with respect to the retention portion. The inner and outer links are rotatable relative to one another between a first position in which the flats (9,15) are aligned and outer link is separable from or connectable to the inner link by relative lateral movement and a second position in which inner and outer links are approximately longitudinally aligned and the flat edge (15) of the outer link aperture is disposed over the undercut (12) of the bearing surface. In this second position the retention portion adjacent the undercut serves to prevent lateral separation of the inner and outer links.

摘要： A chain comprises inner link plates (1) that are each connected to an adjacent outer link plate (2) by means of at least one pin (3) that passes through overlapping portions of the respective links. Outboard of the inner link plates (1) the pin (3) supports a rotary bush (8) with a radially extending flange (9). The bush (8) in turn supports one end of an outer link plate (2) and a roller (10). The outer link plate (2) is an interference fit with the bush (8) and the roller (10) is rotatable relative thereto. In use the rollers (10) are supported on a guide rail as the chain moves. The location of the bush bearing and roller provides easy access for maintenance and lubrication.
