    • A fuel delivery system for a combustion engine is provided. The fuel delivery system includes an exhaust treatment device, a fuel injection unit, a fuel supply, and a fuel pump. The fuel pump includes at least one inlet configured to receive fuel from the fuel supply. A first fixed-output pumping element is configured to generate a first fuel flow at a first pressure and a first flow rate. A second fixed-output pumping element is configured to generate a second fuel flow at a second pressure and a second flow rate. At least one of the second pressure and the second flow rate is different from the first pressure and the first flow rate. A first outlet is configured to direct the first fuel flow to the fuel injection unit. A second outlet is configured to direct the second fuel flow to the exhaust treatment device.

    • A recognition (e.g., speech, handwriting, etc.) model build process that is declarative and data-dependence-based. Process steps are defined in a declarative language as individual processors having input/output data relationships and data dependencies of predecessors and subsequent process steps. A compiler is utilized to generate the model building sequence. The compiler uses the input data and output data files of each model build processor to determine the sequence of model building and automatically orders the processing steps based on the declared input/output relationship (the user does not need to determine the order of execution). The compiler also automatically detects ill-defined processes, including cyclic definition and data being produced by more than one action. The user can add, change and/or modify a process by editing a declaration file, and rerunning the compiler, thereby a new process is automatically generated.

    • A fuel injection system is provided which includes a source of high pressure fuel, a low pressure fuel reservoir, and at least one fuel injector which has an injector body that defines a nozzle chamber, a needle control chamber, a needle control vent, a fuel inlet, and a nozzle outlet. A high pressure line extends between the source of high pressure fuel and the fuel inlet. A low pressure line extends between the low pressure fuel reservoir and the needle control vent.     • A nozzle assembly for fuel injection in an internal combustion engine comprising a nozzle tip with a hollow interior defining a fuel chamber. The nozzle tip has at least one spray orifice opening to an outer surface on the nozzle tip, and a valve member at least partially disposed within the nozzle tip. The valve member is moveable between a first position in which the valve member contacts an upper valve seat to prevent fluid communication of fuel from the fuel chamber to the at least one spray orifice, and a second outward position in which the valve member contacts a lower valve seat to allow fluid communication of fuel from the fuel chamber to the at least one spray orifice. The valve member is directly electrically actuated, preferably by a solenoid. Further, the valve member is biased in the closed position and the valve member is pressure balanced when high pressure fuel in present in the fuel chamber.
