摘要： Disclosed are a system and/or a method of telepresence based inventory pick and place operations through actuator controlled robotic arms affixed to each row of a shelf. A method includes mounting a robotic arm at an end of a row of a shelf of inventory on a set of rails affixed to the row of a shelf. The robotic arm is permitted to move horizontally along the row of the shelf. The robotic arm is repositioned along the three axes using a set of actuators. A haptic motion of a human user is mirrored that is remotely using a positioning device (e.g., human may feel the feedback of the remote arm as it touches the objects). An item is placed on a counting platform in front of the robotic arm. The items are placed automatically in the designated location down through a transport means when a pick operation is completed.

摘要： A singulating and counting device includes a bulk housing for storing a plurality of substantially identical articles, an exit channel, and in the exit channel, forwardly- and rearwardly-directed jet apertures, each of which is fluidly connected to a positive pressure source. A forwardly-directed jet generated by the positive pressure source through the forward jet aperture can accelerate singulated articles in the exit channel, thereby increasing the interval between individual articles and rendering them more easily and accurately counted. A rearwardly-directed jet generated by the positive pressure source through the rearwardly-directed jet aperture can cause articles in the exit channel to return to the housing. A controller operatively connected with the pressure source(s) selectively controls the application of positive pressure to the aforementioned apertures to induce or halt singulation of the articles; the controller may be operatively associated with a sensor that detects and counts articles passing through the exit channel.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transferring a message from a calling party to an unavailable telephonically called party. The method comprises the steps of inititating a call to the called party over a communications channel, identifying that the called party is not available and instructing the calling entity to record the message at the calling entity and after recording to transmit the message to the called entity as a data message via a data channel for reception by the called entity. The system reduces the use of the voice/telephone communications networks by allowing a voice message to be transmitted through data channels, reducing the amount of voice traffic on the voice communication lines. The fact that the original voice message was actually stored with the calling entity after the telephone voice communication had been discontinued is transparent to both the calling party and the called party. Greetings for the called party can be stored at a messaging system of the calling entity.
