    • A driving method for an organic EL light emitting section is provided which achieves optimization of a mobility correction process for a transistor of a driving circuit in response to luminance. In a driving method for an organic EL light emitting section wherein a driving circuit 11 formed from a driving transistor TDrv, an image signal writing transistor TSig and a capacitor section C1 having a pair of electrodes (the opposite ends corresponding to a first node ND1 and a second node ND2) is used to carry out a pre-process [TP (5)1], a threshold voltage cancellation process [TP (5)2] and a writing process [TP (5)6], a variable correction voltage VCor which relies upon the image signal voltage VSig is applied to the first node ND1 and a voltage which is higher than a potential of the second node ND2 in the threshold voltage cancellation process is applied to the drain electrode of the driving transistor TDrv, between the threshold voltage cancellation process and the writing process, to raise the potential of the second node ND2 in response to a characteristic of the driving transistor TDrv.

    • Disclosed herein is a driving method of a display device. The display device includes display elements arranged in a form of a two-dimensional matrix and each have a driving circuit and a light emitting section. The driving circuit includes a driving transistor having a gate electrode and source/drain regions and a capacitance section, and a current flowing through the light emitting section via the source/drain regions of the driving transistor. The driving method includes the step of performing a first writing process, a second writing process, and then setting the gate electrode of the driving transistor in a floating state. A current corresponding to a value of a voltage retained in the capacitance section for retaining a voltage of the gate electrode of the driving transistor with respect to a source region of the driving transistor flows through the light emitting section, so that the light emitting section emits light.

    • A display device includes: pixels each including a light-emitting element; scan lines and signal lines; a scan line drive circuit applying a selection pulse to each of the scan lines in succession; and a signal line drive circuit writing video signals to respective selected pixels through switching a gray-scale interpolation voltage, a basic voltage, and a video signal voltage to apply each voltage selected by switching to each of the signal lines.
