    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting to the window glass and to obtain the sufficient detecting accuracy by detecting the blur on a mirror surface which is attached to the inside of the window glass, with an excellent heat conductivity with the window glass being maintained. CONSTITUTION:The mirror surface 3 is formed at the central part of one side of a metal plate 2. The other side thereof is bonded to the window glass 1 and fixed. Legs 4a of a case 4 is bonded to the plate 2 and fixed. A light emitting element 6 and a light receiving element 7 are fixed to the case 4. Light 6a from the light emitting element 6 is reflected by the mirror 3 and reaches the light receiving element 7, and the output voltage is generated across output terminals 13a and 13b. Based on the relationship between the temperature of the window glass and humidity of the air in the inside, the mirror surface 3 blurs when the inside of the window glass begins to blur. Then, the reflectivity at the mirror surface 3 becomes small, the output voltage is decreased, and the blur of the window glass can be detected. In this way, the compact device can be fabricated, and mounting can be readily performed. Since the mirror surface is protected by the plate and the case, high detecting accuracy can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent a partial read failure, by making the circumferential part higher than the center part of optical information with respect to photoelectric conversion seusitivity.
      CONSTITUTION: Red light emitting diodes 1, 2 of a portable reader are made to emit light to a bar-code label 4 printed by a heat sensible printer, the light is irradiated through a lens 3, and an image is formed on an image sensor 9 on which a photo-element is arrayed. Intensity of illumination of light emission of two red light emitting diodes of the outside is made higher than that of light emitting diodes 2, 2 of the inside, therefore, a bar-code video forming an image on an image sensor 9 has equalized brightness extending over the whole area, and the level of an electric signal is stabilized.
